Sams Performance:
This well-made, tense drama from 1988 isn't that well known, but is well worth viewing.
Just as the events in the film predict the future, Sam's character, Dell, a Federal prosecutor, has hints of the Jack McCoy character to come. This is especially evident in the courtroom scenes. The feel of McCoy is enhanced by the defense attorney, aptly played by Ron Leibman, who has appeared as a defense attorney on Law & Order He played Paul Koppel, Jack's old friend, in the episode House Counsel It is fun to watch that episode and then this film, to compare/contrast the dynamics between Sam and Ron.
Must-see scene: Any of the
courtroom scenes are well worth watching, for the reason mentioned above.
