Three

By Ayesha Haqqiqa

Synopsis: Two young Americans spending the summer on the Rivera team up with a young lady, which leads to adventure, romance, and betrayal.

Sam’s Performance: Sam’s performance as a young, rather inexperienced man is near perfect.  His attempt to impress the young lady is quite sweet, and his decision to hold true to his agreement with his friend is noble.  The ending is really sad, showing that sometimes good intentions are futile.

Must-see scene: This has got to be the famous swimming scene, when Sam strips to the buff to plunge into the sea to rescue some people clinging to a foundering boat.

Rating:

1 Sam means you won’t be able to sit through the film once; 5 Sams means you will want to buy the film and watch it again and again!

5 Sams

This is one of my favorite Sam films.  You can see his talent and character even though he’s in his late twenties.
