Contouring and Finishing: Gross composite excess at margins is identified and removed with knives, scalpel blade, and finishing burs.  Use finishing burs and Soflex discs to gently shape to the proper contours.  Interproximal strips are used to shape and finish the proximal contour. Use a wedge to slightly separate the teeth so that the proximal contact is maintained.
