| On #9, you will close the diastema along with adding a veneer of composite to bring the facial surface to the same facial position and contour as #8. Carefully etch #9, then rinse. Apply OptiBond Solo Plus and cure. Apply mylar matrix or other separating medium to prevent bonding between the proximal surfaces of #8 and #9. Build up and cure dentin, enamel, and incisal layers. |
| Finish with finishing burs, soflex discs, and interproximal strips. Wedge as needed to prevent loss of the proximal contact. Check occlusal contacts for interferences, and adjust as appropriate. Polish with composite polishing pastes. Apply composite surface sealant; e.g., Opti-Guard |
