This is the first of the 2 artbooks, published by Shonen Sunday. It came with a hardcover and 190 pages (along with a mini fold-out poster). This artbook contains lot of great illustrations - most of them were cover and inside illustrations of the Manga and some of calendars, posters and other, also some beautiful photographs of traditional Japanese buildings and the wonders of mother nature – as well as parts of the Manga and a few infos about the story and the characters (in Japanese of course). The artbook also contains a short special Manga (Ushio to Tora Gaiden – Eclipse : Tsuki to Taiyou ga hitotsu ni naru Toki) and a long interview of Kazuhiro Fujita – in Japanese again, including some photographs of the Mangaka. The chapter index tells, where the illustrations have been taken from (for all those who wanna know).
This artbook is really a classic and a must have for all Ushio & Tora fans!!! Actually it is out of print, but you still might find a store, who will be able to order it though. Out of print Books are often more easy to get than out of print CDs and other merchandise. Otherwise you just have to look for it at a second hand store.
