| Vol. 10 Summary While Asako and Mayuko have to fight - without the help of Ushio - against a mechanical puppet, who is thirsty for blood, Ushio meets Satoru, another candidate for the Spear of the Beast. The only problem is, that he is possessed by monsters, who are serving Hakumen. Ushio decides to get into the body of Satoru, to free him from Hakumen’s monsters. And he is quiet grateful for the help of Izuna, a little monster, who inspects the human body. So Ushio, Tora and Izuna enter Satoru’s body and start to fight against the serving monsters and the more powerful demon, Chibakama. Ushio has been warned by the dean of the monsters of Toono (who are in eternal fight against Hakumen no Mono), if he ever should so such a thing, because of him the hope of a victorious ending wouldn’t exist. But Ushio decides to do it and using the power of the Spear for a better result, instead of using his innate power and has to give away his humanity by doing this. But Satoru gets free in this way.
