| Vol. 13 Summary On the next day Ushio hears from Tora, Hakumen is in town (in the incarnation of a woman). Hakumen kills many inhabitants of the town, as well as the father and the mother of Jiemei and Giryō. Full of pain and deep grief, Jiemei decides, to sacrifice her body and soul to a spear, which has the power to destroy Hakumen…. And jumps into the hot embers of the kiln! Ushio tries to stop her, but it is too late. Giryō, who is full of pain and hate now, starts to forge the spear and with every hit, he becomes more and more to the spear, or rather fuses with it! Ushio and Tora watching all this completely helpless and let history take its course. Giryō and Jiemei have done it and created the Spear of the Beasts! On the Spear is written: “Zang Yue, our home is in your heart, until we’ve overthrown Hakumen no Mono”! Tora is curious and tries to grab it, but it flies away. Then the spirit of Jiemei appears again and tells and shows them the story of Ushio’s mother: Her brother, Giryō… or rather the Spear of the Beasts… covered whole continents looking for Hakumen no Mono, but because it couldn’t find Hakumen, it killed any monsters. But then a solidarity finally grew between the monsters. They combined their forces and countered to the Speer. Ant at the end of a long, desperate battle they succeeded in arresting Hakumen. The strongest and the most cruel among the surviving monster turned into thin threads, to weave a ribbon out of read fabric – the seal of the Speer of the Beasts! This fabric sucks out all energy of the Spear. The Spear couldn’t escaped and had been carried into a deep valley in the mountains. Its resurrection will only happen very, very fast… as a man visited this valley and found it. Since the Spear had been set free, Jiemei didn’t followed its track anymore. She was sure, Hakumen no Mono would find it sooner or later… At a harbour of the antic China, 1000 years after the birth of the Spear, there was a ship, which brought a group of Japanese students back to home, after they studied for 20 years the tradition of the great Land in China. After Hakumen no Mono brought murder and destruction to every place, he had been, he decided to lead the place, where he was right now, against other countries. So he took the form of future girl and came on board of the Japanese ship and said to the captain: “I’m the daughter of a warden of the Emperor Gensō. My biggest wish is, to see your beautiful Land Wa. I’m begging you… take me with you…”. But when the ship berthed at the island Kyūshū, whe shadow of the girl wasn’t on board anymore. Jiemei followed Hakumen no Mono and 400 years after his arrival in Japan, Jiemei reincarnated herself for the first time. 1400 years after the birth of the Spear of the Beast in a foreign country, her name was Yuki; ballet dancer and prostitute, but her fate remained unchanged. She had to fight the woman, who was the favourite of the Emperor. She announced, she would destroy this country for her own joy. This woman was Hakumen no Mono! Jiemei didn’t have to fight all alone. On her side was a man of high intelligence. The scholar and doctor of philosophy Yasuchika Abeno, other monks and soldiers and the Japanese monsters, which united against Hakumen and their common enemies. In the year 1160 the battle between them and Hakumen no Mono was horrible, but eventually Hakumen fled. They had put to flight their enemies and everyone was happy about the victory. But the worst of it is to come soon! Jiemei was yuki, born in a new life, grateful for her forces of her spirit. It was her task, with a heavy heart of Yasuchika Abeno, to continue her mission and took up the chase after Hakumen no Mono. Even if Hakumen would have been injured, the giant monster flies faster than the wind. But however, Yuki succeeded in not losing any country… together with Jiemei. The Japanese monster followed her as well. But then… Hakumen no Mono dove into the sea and found a perfect place for a shelter. But Yuki’s presence had been just right. She created a barrier, which had to hold forever, until the day the Spear of the Beasts will be opened again, to overthrow the giant, sleeping monster. It is a solid barrier and impenetrable! But Jiemei didn’t know, while she stays down in the sea, if she will be able to stop Hakumen’s servants, which are there to protect him, so that they can’t resurrect him again. In the years Hakumen no Mono remained being trapped in the depths of the sea. Before the great battle, Yuri was having a daughter. The little girl grew up and when it was her turn, she delivered another daughter. So the number of Jiemeis descendants rose. 400 years she stayed to keep Hakumen no Mono entrapped, without aging. When the extreme limit of the force had been reached, she let flew her spirit and chose the one, who had continued her task. She was one of her descendants, a young woman and a poor farmer. Her name was Mikado Hizaki. Without complaining, Mikado took over the same task, Jiemei obligated as well 400 years ago. While she was practicing her mission, her body didn’t grow old. The mission had to be performed, until someone followed. Yuki died a few years after Jiemei had given Mikado the enormous responsibility and Jiemei found her own spirit again. After 300 years, for Mikado came the moment, when the force had reached its limit and Mikado couldn’t go on anymore. Jiemei was searching for a new heiress fort his bold task and she found her. She came down and the woman, who it will be, had to become the new guardian of Hakumen no Mono. Her name was Sumako Hizaki… later Sumako Aotsuki; Ushio’s mother. She is now on the bottom of the sea, holding the barrier, which locks up Hakumen no Mono. Two years before the birth of Ushio, while the barrier had been holding, Sumako said to Jiemei with a low voice, that she had a dream, in which she married a wonderful man and that she was expecting a baby; a boy. Once he grows up to use the Spear of the Beasts, she always had been told about by Jiemei. The boy is brave and proud. The Spear hasn’t appeared yet, but Jiemei has found the person now, who is able to use the Spear of the Beasts. A leading, capable and efficient man,who is able to overthrow Hakumen no Mono. A man, who is able to call the Spear. Jiemei ask, which name Sumako gave the boy in her dream and Sumako answers: “Ushio!”. Jiemei sends Sumako up on the earth, among people. She only had 2 years. Sumako met Shigure. They felt in love with each other and Sumako get pregnant with Ushio… Now Ushio knows everything, he needs and always wanted to know! So Ushio and Tora are on the way home, doing a little break to regain their strength, but there is another adventure, they get involved in, as well as the beautiful Shizuri, a snow woman and daughter of a demon, who decided to freeze up an entire town, where Yasu lives in, the boy who is crossed in love with Shizuri. They say, a monster and a human can’t fall in love with each other, but Ushio proves it’s not true…! Next |
