| Vol. 30 Summary Tora takes the last offensive and wounds Nagare fatal. Nagare sinks to the ground worn out. Tora asks Nagare, if the still wants to fight but, Nagare now is definitely at the end. Nagare says, he thought he would be a great warrior, instead not even the full moons worked. Now it’s enough, he defeated him… Tora says to him, he has fought with great courage. Among the humans he is the best. Nagare asks Tora, if he ever had been defeated and Tora replies, if you exclude this god-damn Spear of the Beasts, he’s aware of his force. He isn’t like Nagare, he never makes any stupid things… And Nagare really would be an idiot. He wasn’t able to assess his real capacities. Instead he only is the best in the little world of the humans… Nagare has to laughs and agrees with Tora and says, he should have fought earlier against him. He asks Tora, to tell Ushio he always used to be evil. He wished for something on the side of Hakumen no Mono; he really wanted to kill Tora. That’s why he killed him… He has suffered so much, that he did let control himself by the pain and he’ll die now in an unworthy way… Tora wants to know from Nagare, if what he told Ushio all had been a lie: “I’m sure, you can do everything you want!”… and Nagare replies, it had been the truth. He always used to be a serious. He would have liked to be like Ushio, that’s why he wasn’t able to bear Ushio’s look anymore. He didn’t think, such a guy could exist. I didn’t believe on this earth could like live someone like Ushio. He’s done many stupid things, but if he wouldn’t have turned on Hakumen’s side, he wouldn’t have been able to image, like he would be with Ushio and Tora… Tora says, he always talked in a complicated way. That’s whey he doesn’t like the humans. Nagare asks Tora, if he held back his force during the fight and says to Tora, he worried about the words of Ushio, that’s why he didn’t express his maximum force… Tora is a little bit embarrassed and tries to defend himself, but Nagare raises his head and says “A, what… The wind stopped blowing…”. Tora doesn’t understand, because the wind still blows very strong. He asks Nagare, what he just said, but Nagare can’t explain to him anymore, what he means by that, because after these words he died…! Tora sinks his head and says “They are too weak! That’s why I don’t like them… the humans…”. Then he leaves. He flies with such a speed past a tower, so that the glass of the windows shatters into tiny little pieces and float down on Nagare… …Meanwhile Ushio, Goro and Akabane have reached the place, where Hakumen no Mono is. In this column is Ushio’s mother, he has to save before the defensive forces start to attack it. It’s a giant column, Hakumen no Mono is behind, trapped in a wall. At the column there is a water-whirl and behind it there is an entrance for inside the column, which makes it possible for Ushio to enter it. There is Ushio’s mother. The two technical engineers steer the submarine inside the whirl and Ushio goes inside. He’s very nervous, because now he’ll meet his mother for the first time in his life. What will she tell him? She has left him alone. When he was little, he always thought, she would be dead. He doesn’t even remember her face. Once in a while he felt lonely. But now he doesn’t feels to bad anymore. He knows, she is alone on the bottom of the sea as well, but she has suffered very much. At any case he will let know her, what he went through… Then he sees her sitting with the back to him. She is all alone at this place, fights all alone against Hakumen no Mono for a very long time now… This way he can’t tell her anything… Then suddenly she speaks his name. He runs to her and she bows to him. He asks her, why she bows to him; she shall stop it, she is his mom though! Sumako says, she knows, she isn’t worthy of be called like that, but she has dreamed many times, she is called mom… ...Meanwhile the forces have their aim already on the display. They are busy with loading the torpedoes completely, when suddenly they are interrupted by two giant monsters, which are directly above them on the sea – the monsters of the West and the East. The naval soldiers think, it would be trippers of Hakumen no Mono, which want to prevent the attack. So the captain gives the order to all submarines to throw off the torpedoes!!! Meanwhile Ushio talks for the first time with his mother. Sumako can hardly believe how much her son had grown… Ushio is completely speechless, he can’t say a thing. He had so many things, he wanted to tell her, instead is head is empty now… Sumako discovers a scar on Ushio’s forehead and while she gently touches it with her fingers she asks him, from where he could have such a scar. Ushio answers quite nervous, he has it since he fought against Jûrô, the sickle-weasel. Sumako is horrified about how much her son has suffered. While she wasn’t there, he had to endure so much. In spite of her duties as a wife and mother, she has left him and his father and came here, on the bottom of the sea. Now she can’t consider anymore being a real mom. She doesn’t believe, he and Shigure could ever forgive her… But Ushio interrupts her, says this wouldn’t be the only scar; she should look at the rest: One injury he got while he was fighting with his father; one injury he got, when he fought against a monster called Hitotsuki; on one spot a demon hit him; one injury he got, when he was fighting against a dog; one when he was fighting against the monsters of Toono; one by driving merry-go-round; one by fighting against the snow women… and he says to his mom, that these scars aren’t a big unusal deal for him and it wouldn’t be her fault. Then he removes all the dust from her, which accumulated on her body all these years…. Sumako asks Ushio for a favour; if she could caress his head… So they are getting closer. Ushio is a bit ashamed, mumbles something and his mother has to laugh. Just when Sumako wants to caress Ushio’s head, there is a big explosion. The torpedoes have hit the column and it starts to collapse. Sumako erects a little barrier, which protects Ushio and her. Ushio apologizes. He came to save her. He was supposed to stop the throw of the torpedoes, but he didn’t make it in time anymore. He is an idiot… Just when he wants to bring his mother to the submarine, she gets some kind of shock. She says, he shouldn’t worry about her. The resistance of the barrier already had been at its limit. Then Hakumen no Mono has deceived the humans and convinced them to attack the column. She wanted to be with Ushio as well, as long as possible. But it seems like everything would be at an end now… It is high time for Ushio to fight! For 700 years the O-Yakume have held the barrier, which Ushio’s mother continued to hold. Now the barrier falls…! The column caves in completely and Hakumen no Mono is free! Ushio looks full of fear into the face of his enemy. Then Hakumen sets out to reach the surface…! …On the sea close by Okinawa, 1:22 pm: Tora is on the way to Okinawa. He knows, he’ll be late and he hopes, Ushio succeeded in arriving at Hakumen no Mono. Besides he thinks about, what Ushio demanded from hin: Not to kill Nagare… Suddenly he sees the giant monster, consisting of the monsters of the East and the West and thinks, they are fighting. But then (it’s 1:24 pm …) he sees Hakumen no Mono coming out of the sea fighting with the monsters of the East and the West… In this moment the Kouhamei awake out of their petrifaction again…!.... Meanwhile the column almost broke apart completely. Ushio and his mother can’t flee from here and Ushio wishes, he would have been arrived in time… Sumako asks him, if he is ready, but Ushio doesn’t understand… She says, Hakumen no Mono flew away, he has destroyed the base, which holds Japan. Soon Japan will start to sink, but they mustn’t despair. They have to stop Hakumen no Mono. It’s imperative. They have to save the rest of the world from the incarnation of evil. And now the battle has begun…! They have to follow Hakumen no Mono. Ushio’s mother is feeling fine, she is totally exhausted…. The earthquake had begun. Hakumen no Mono flew away. He has destroyed the base, which holds Japan. Now, robbed of its pillar, the column collapses and Japan starts to sink in the sea! Ushio is completely thunderstruck; everyone will die… Sumako tries to calm him down. She says, there is only one thing left to do. They mustn’t allow Hakumen no Mono to provoke a catastrophe in other countries. They have to follow him and overthrow him!... …At this moment at the island of Nishimote Moriya sets out with a helicopter to the sea of Okinawa, to film the whole fight live with his camera, so whole Japan will see it… ….1:31 pm – Weather report station of Okinawa: They all wonder about the unexpected and sudden earthquake and they all get very quickly, this staggering isn’t normal… In this moment at the operative central for observation of the movement of earthquake of the weather report station: The men are horrified. They never have watched such an abnormal earthquake before. If it will continue like this, Japan won’t resist…! In this moment, at Kyushu, at the same moment at Nigata, at the same moment at Hokkaido when the people feel the earthquake and turn on their TV… In this moment the people surely tremble of fear, they’re afraid of a stranger… afraid of Hakumen no Mono! Everything developed like Hakumen no Mono wished for. That’s why he feeds his force with the fear of the people! April 23. 1:36 pm Okinawa, island of Kikomi: Now even Atsuzawa sees, what kind of big mistake he did. He sees the huge monster in front of himself, he set free… and it has a satisfied facial expression… …. Ushio and Sumako are still in the column. There had been a lot of water coming in already, but meanwhile it stopped. Sumako says, they have to fight against Hakumen no Mono, that’s whey they have to get up to the surface again. They have to defeat him on the sea. But Ushio doesn’t know, what he could possibly do against Hakumen. When he met Hakumen no Mono for the first time, he wasn’t even able to do one single step. At any case they have to get in the submarine now and run away, Ushio says to Sumako, but she doesn’t think so. This is a moment of a big crisis, she says. The mighty monster had been woken up again and the people are in mortal danger, they have to save them. Ushio gets into panic again and says, he doesn’t want her do die at all, now he came to her to get her. Finally he is with her. If they fights against Hakumen, he’ll die and she as well. Hakumen no Mono doesn’t interest him, he isn’t in it, he shouts…and Sumako slaps his face, so he gets reasonable again, but Ushio doesn’t want to calm down. He remembers when Asako hit him as well and now she has completely forgotten about him. Just why is it he has to suffer so much. All he had been told was, he has to fight against Hakumen no Mono with the Spear of the Beasts, who is in his possession… He’ll do it… At first his mother, then his father and all his friends and Asako in the end… Hakumen has taken him the affection of these people… Sumako tries to calm him, says he mustn’t fight against Hakumen no Mono with a heart full of hatred! But it’s too late… The top of the column shoots out of the sea and out of it Ushio, filled with hatred. The thoughts about his friends and his father make him even angrier…. It’s all the fault of Hakumen no Mono; he hasn’t got any friends anymore, he hasn’t got a home anymore, he hasn’t got a father anymore and then his mother hit him. He wants Hakumen to give him back his normal life and his people; he hates Hakumen…!!! Ushio’s mother is despaired and tells him again and again, he mustn’t fight against Hakumen no Mono with a heart full of hatred; with hatred he mustn’t fight anymore. But Ushio fights Hakumen and all his serving monsters. Then Tora appears, who is angry about Ushio’s conduct. He holds back Ushio, tries to calm him, but Ushio is full of hatred. Hakumen starts to laugh. He has stayed under the sea for a long time and now everything seems to be good for him: The defeat of the monster, the suffering of the humans and then the impotence of the Spear of the Beast… He tells Ushio, he should image, that the human traitor, he engaged, made a nice scene… Ushio doesn’t understand, what Hakumen is talking about and he asks Tora, what happened to Nagare (Ushio thinks, Nagare has regretted…) and Tora tells him, he killed Nagare. Ushio is shocked. He can’t believe, it’s true. Nagare is a fighting monk and he has fought along with Tora against their enemies. He thought Tora could do something. So even Tora has taken another person away from him… Hakumen teases Ushio even more, saying the hearts of the captured humans of sadness, hatred and remorse fedl his joy and it has to be a monster. In Hakumen’s opinion Tora enjoyed killing this human…! Sumako tells Ushio, he mustn’t listen to Hakumen. He searched in his heart fort he deep hatred, but Ushio won’t listen. He asks Tora, if it would bet rue, that he killed his friend Nagare… Tora has to think about Nagare’s words, what he said right before he died. Tora wants to tell Ushio about it, but he asks him again, if he killed Nagare or if he didn’t and Tora decides to keep it for himself. He answers in the affirmative, saying humans never were able to fight him. He says, he tore Nagare into pieces and starts to laugh loud… Then Ushio removes himself out of Tora’s arm, jumps down to his mother and says “Fare well, monster!”… Sumako asks Ushio, just what he did and tells him, now he only has to believe in Tora… ….Then 2:52 pm 20 km of the navy base, island Hateruma:… They have come to know, Hakumen no Mono has set free the serving monster, who extinguish the memory. And so they have looked for the defence to transform into stone. They only could free themselves after the awakening of Hakumen no Mono. That’s why they are late. They have prepared an air, which allows them to arrive at Okinawa in time, but this will be the last battle for the Kouhamei for sure! They hope the delay of 1 ½ hours won’t endanger the result of the battle against Hakumen no Mono. In the name of all fighting monks they won’t allow Hakumen no Mono anymore, to do whatever he wants. Their big barrier will lock in Hakumen no Mono…!... 2:58 pm at Sengaku Asako, Ayumi, Katayama and Kagami listen to an announcement: On the island Hateruma the first group of Kouhamei arrived. They’ll erect a barrier around Hakumen no Mono! After the barrier of the Kouhamei stopped Hakumen no Mono, they will throw torpedoes against the giant monster… …Hakumem still teases Ushio. He enjoyed himself very much and says to Ushio, he surely is the strongest among the humans and he surely hates him; he likes that very much…! He wants Ushio to hate him more… Hakumen tells Ushio, on the island behind the base Sengaku there is also his father and they finally woken up again…. Thy will try to lock him in with a barrier for sure, but instead he is going to do what…? There Ushio completely mad. He wants to kill Hakumen, no matter what it costs… Next |
