| Vol. 4 Summary After Ushio confronted his father with the story about his mother – Sumako – he decides to go in search of her, to the North. His journey begins in an air plain. On this flight Ushio gets to know the girl Yuu, whose father was a pilot and got killed during a flight by a horrible monster. In this volume we make the acquaintance of a lot more underhanded monster: the malicious Fusuma, which usually attacks by flying air plains, to eat the people, who are on board of it.
