Broadcasters 2003 awards competition, presented June 5 night at the AAPBA's
award dinner at the Arizona Inn in Tucson:
KTAR, Phoenix, was presented the Governor's Cup, which is awarded by The
AP's Phoenix bureau to the station and staff which best exemplify the
cooperative spirit of the news gathering organization.
Ray Depa, general manager of KGUN-TV,
Tucson, was honored with the Myron Drake
Memorial Award. It's given in recognition of outstanding contributions to
broadcast journalism in Arizona.
