General Yakayh Alhazian
General Alhazian was an infantry general born in 1826 in the Tiflis province.  In the highlands, Alhazian trained in the 2nd Cadet Corps.  After the completion of his training he was sent to serve in Finland, where he was located for 20 years.  In 1863 General Alhazian was sent to fight the Polish rebels, there by 1865 he was made a commander of the Koporsk Division.  After 9 years of service, he was made a brigadier-commander and was sent to serve in the Caucasus.  When the war of 1877-78 in Western Armenia against the Turks began, he was sent to fight there as a commander of four battalions.  His experience brought him victories for which he was highly decorated.  After the war he was made a general, and remained in service in the Caucasus.
