The saddest thing about this show is probably the fact that it's creator, Jonathon Larson, died the day of the final dress rehersal. He didn't get to see his very own show. He didn't get to see it become one of the most popular Broadway shows ever. He didn't see it win pretty much every award it possibly could, including a Tony (Best Musical) and even the Pulitzer Prize! But Jonathon Larson is remembered every time the cast of RENT bursts into one of its inspirational songs about living life to the fullest. Jonathon Larson will be remembered forever in the hearts of all RENT fans.
