| Blue Moon Night | ||||||||||
| On the background realm of a place in another dimension, I sit alone on a bench watching a cloudless cloud filled night. God's tapestry painted with a silverish blue. With a sigh I look at my reflection in the remains of the Lord's tears that are that are dripping from an emerald leaf. All the while I ask myself why I bother searching for her. Many nights I have sat here pondering my thoughts, and now on this random night, this one night to myself, she walks out of the sea. She took hold to my hand. I resisted. Of course, darkness has not managed to triumph over light to this day. Into the sky we floated towards the coated silver sheet that was the present reality. We finally reached the sky that looked like a marble floor with a dense fog across it. The quiet barrier parted with a wave of her beautiful hand as we went through the hole in reality. The mist blinded me, but bounced off of her, never even making contact with her skin. Never has the transference from reality to fantasy ever been able to harm her. How far away is reality from fantasy? It seemed like a year, yet it felt like a minute before we emerged to the glow of a bright and shimmering night. The stars circled around us in hopes of somehow powering their own majesty through her. Her finger graced each of them as she shone with the light of a newborn galaxy. She smiled. I did as well. I couldn't help it. With what seemed like a jerk, we sailed farther into the sky until we reached the moon that gave off a mysterious cerulean aura that was like the ocean reflecting off of itself a thousand times. We landed with a whisper as long forgotten promises floated by. Who is this woman? Another question meant for another day... sigh... just as well since she put her hand on mine. I forgot about what I was thinking of in the first place. Was she driving the fear from me, or just hiding all of my questions about her. Down we sat on the crescent curves of the moon. My eyes managed to look off the moon and down to reality. Down to the people who were happy... content with their lives. The people who were in love looked like they were so happy. Happy... do I even know that word? Looking down to my left, I saw her feet dangling from the moon as they kicked the air with a certain playfulness. Her gown made her look so beautiful. Solid fresh milk and honey blends covering her body to form her skin, and a flaming maelstrom that constantly surged to create the golden color in her eyes. The flow of her hair matched that of the glorious Nile. Curves that follow her body like a very detailed and precise connect the dots image. My God, she is lovely. And even though she never speaks, I can feel her personality embrace me when we touched. I could tell that she was my soul mate, my kindred spirit. All my troubles were whisked away when she held my face in her hands of Summer, and kissed me with her lips of Spring. She giggled. I was in paradise. Then on that night, a night that couldn't get better, we held each other... our souls connecting on that blue moon. From that day forth, I knew love... and I knew hope sprang eternal. From the heart of a poet, to a world scared to embrace it. |
