| How did you first get into the Ninja Turtles? Well, it all started back in 1989 when I first saw the Ninja Turtles cartoon. I've been hooked on them since. |
| What was your reaction when you found out that the TMNT existed in other forms of entertainment? Being used to the cartoon, I had no idea that they started out in a black and white comic book. I was one of the many kids shocked at Raphael's attitude change from the cartoon to the movie. But now that I know, I've been trying to expand my comic book collection by ordering old and new comics straight from Mirage. |

| Why do you like the TMNT so much? Besides them being some of the coolest characters to ever exist, I've always been able to relate to them. Each one has a unique personality, so finding a favorite turtle isn't difficult. I've also liked the idea that they are outcasts of society, yet they continue to live life as it comes, saving lives in the process. They rarely get any thanks for all of the good deeds they do, but they continue to help out a society that would otherwise fear and refect them. They're actually quite inspirational, and no, I'm not crazy =P How did you come up with the character of Azure Turtle? Actually, Azure Turtle started out as my screen name while I wandered the TMNT forums. I joked around with friends online, saying that I was a blue ninja turtle in training. Soon, that joking around turned into an idea. Why not write a fanfic based on my screen name's persona? And that's how Azure Turtle (the character, of course) was born. So how did you come up with the screen name of Azure Turtle, then? I always liked the word, "azure." The videogame, "Azure Dreams," actually had a little bit of influence on me when choosing a screen name. My favorite color is blue, and I'm a ninja turtles fan, so I thought combining "Azure" and "Turtle" would make a nice fit. Okay....but why is he blue? He was based off of my screen name, so naturally Azure Turtle means that he has to be blue. And why not? There are blue bears (Care Bears), blue dogs (Blue's Clues) and I'm sure there are more. I don't see a problem with having a blue ninja turtle. |

| Are you really a ninja turtle? Oh, I'm definitely a turtle, but I'm not really a ninja......yet. I've got many more lessons to learn from Master Splinter before I can call myself a ninja. I'm just a ninja turtle in training. |

| Why are you blue? That's a very good question. I don't know. I have very faint memories as a young turtle before I mutated into what I am now, and I clearly remember not being blue. My odd skin color was probably a side effect of my mutation. |
| How'd you mutate? And who raised you? I don't know the reasons behind my mutation. I was the pet of a scientist, but I don't remember very much, just a bunch of beakers and strange colored fluids. My next memory was of an old fisherman, who found me on the beach. I was already mutated when he discovered me. He was a kind, old man, who took me in and raised me, without telling a soul about my existance. Good ol' Sal passed away a year ago, when his boat ran into a freak storm. |
| I see that your mask is white. Did you choose that color? If you did, why white? Technically, Master Splinter chose the color for me. He told me that since I was just starting my ninjitsu lessons, I should wear white to represent my new beginning. I could have chosen a different color, since Sensei didn't force white on me. Mikey kept trying to get me to choose orange (he kept proclaiming that it was the best color), but I ended up agreeing with Sensei's choice. |
| Is Azure Turtle your actual name? Do you have any nicknames? Yes, Azure Turtle is my actual name. Y'see, after Sal found me on the beach, he named me Azure because my skin color reminded him of the blue seas. I didn't have a last name, and I always wanted one. When I was around six years old, I told Sal that I wanted a last name, and he told me to choose one. Being only six at the time, I didn't know too much about last names, so I picked "Turtle" since, well, I'm a turtle! And that's how I got my name. I don't have any nick names, as far as I know. Mikey, Leo, and Don all call me "Lil' Bro", while Raph just refers to me as "Kid." Master Splinter is the only one who really addresses me as "Azure." |
