Dear Sir,

I’m a student cheated by a consultant!!! Here is my story:

I’m an engineering graduate and searching for jobs in India from July 1999 on wards. I saw an add in newspapers “Earn while you study in Sweden” given by a consultant from our own state, A.P. Actually the Swedish Government is offering free education, and capable of giving admissions to students without any application fees. And this man  is taking  Rs.25, 000 from the poor students and telling lies by saying that: there are some part time jobs in Sweden for students and they are easy to get. But the actual situation is that there are no such  jobs and so many students who paid this scoundrel are very disappointed. They had taken loans from the bank or some finance companies to come here.

 I have barrowed 2 lacks of rupees from people on 2% interest per month and now I am too much worried about how to pay it back. Sometimes I am getting ideas like suicide because there is no pay back on this money  which I invested in coming here to Sweden. This January that Consultant perhaps sent another 50 students.

At least I want to save some other Indian youth before my death. Please publish this matter and make aware the people in our state that these bogus consultants are planning to send about 100 students for the coming August 2002 semester. They are making huge amount of money like this. And also they are luring the people to Switzerland and other countries. Before this, they used to send  students to Germany. Thus this consultant will definitely get at least 40 lakh rupees per semester..

I don’t have any personal revenge on them but only I’m writing this email to you and some other newspaper editors to help some of my fellow students. You can go through over our college site http://www.du.se

That consultant seems to be very intelligent and even though I don’t have much knowledge about the laws and rules I can say that he is taking all kind of measures to protect himself and we can’t do any thing legally and I am also not interested in such  activities. Nevertheless  I want other innocent students to be aware of this type of fraud. This consultant is perhaps spending not  more than Rs.200 per student.

 I swear on God and my own soul that neither I have any personal grudge on this person nor I am jealous about this person. Every citizen of India or any country has a right to make money in his own innovative way. I appreciate that but there are certain limits. I just want others  to be aware  that Sweden is not a place for jobs and don’t believe the consultants and their promises.
