The largest vessel in use by the League of Non-Alligned Worlds combined fleet, the Avioki-class Transport was first intended for use as a Cruiser-type vessel. Built with sleek lines that make it look close to the Minbari Sharlin Warcruiser, the Avioki was first mistaken by Earth Alliance officials to be a highly advanced craft. However, it was found that the vessel's lack of internal gravity, light armor and hideously low weapons armament made her completely unsuitable for use as a front-line vessel unless some means was found to upgrade her significantly. The answer came with the replacement of the old defense grid, upgraded to eight Pulse Cannons. Also, the Earth Alliance was contracted to outfit the Transports with Fusion Missile Launchers. What came out was called the Avioki-class Cruiser, the answer to the League's need for a major warship. However, it soon became apparent that even with the upgrade the vessel was still not up to par with the other major craft of the other interstellar powers. This, combined with the Brakiri Freehold's insistance that the vessel be usable for commerce, made the Avioki a doomed project in the search for a pure Brakiri warship. Instead, the Transport is retained for just tha duty, ferrying supplies into a battle zone with an escort of several other League vessels.
