Owyn Hunter
					Born on Mars Colony in 2227, Owyn Hunter was the son of a poor dock worker and a quiet mother. His early life was one of hardship and poor luck, his family often forced to turn to theft to stay alive in the terrible conditions of the docks of the main colony. When his father was killed by Earth Alliance Security Forces during a food riot, Owyn became the leader of his household and had to fend for himself and his mother. Knowing no occupation other than working the docks, he began repairing Earth Alliance warships at the orbital shipyards in order to support himself and his mother.      With the outbreak of the Earth-Minbari War in 2245, Owyn was drafted into Earth Force and based at the colony of Orion VII. He was there when the Minbari landed and was rescued by the crew of the Dreadnought Schwartzkopf to be taken back to Earth. When the war ended in 2248, he was honorably discharged with full pay and allowed to return to Mars. Now 21, he applied to and joined the Dockworkers Guild on Mars and gained his shipping lisence. In 2249 he took on his first charter as a pilot on a commercial flight to the independant world of Freeport. This choice was to affect the rest of his life.      In 2251, after two years of working the dockyards and space stations of Freeport, Owyn was approached by a representative of the local Raider group. The leader, one Achord Donnovan, had learned of Owyn's time in Earth Force and wanted him on hand for aid in conducting ground raids against rich targets. Owyn accepted the offer and in 2252 took part in his first raid as part of a group assault against a target on the planet Coriana. The raid went off well, the Raiders losing few ships and men in exchange for making off with a large amount of goods and materials. It was at this point that he began training to fly one of the Raider Starfighters and by 2254 was flying regularly with the Raiders against space targets. For the next four years, he helped raid countless civilian transports and freighters, giving the Earth Alliance and League of Non-Alligned Worlds a major problem. Finally, in 2258 the Raiders mounted a massive operation against Babylon 5 in order to kidnap a Centauri representative and ransom him back to the Centauri Republic for a massive amount of money. However, the battle proved to be hideously costly to the Raiders as almost all of their Starfighters were destroyed, only three of which were captured, and the Carrier which had carried them in jumped out without attempting a retreival. Owyn was one of the three Raiders captured and suffered interrogation while on Babylon 5, later being released into the hands of Earth Force security for imprisonment. He and his companions were put onboard a prison transport bound for Io and the colony on Ganymede but thanks to bribes from the Raiders was able to escape when the transport made a stop over at Io, breaking free from his weakened bonds and running to a waiting transport. A month after imprisonment, he was back on Freeport as a liberated man. It was there that he learned of the dissapearence of his Raider group after the raid, the Carrier having been lost to all scans and no word having been heard from Donovan or his crew. It was later learned that the Shadows had a hand in the destruction of the Carrier and the loss of all hands.      Unbound and without his Raider group to turn to, Owyn returned to life on the Freeport docks. His time there was short, though, and within a month he had joined another Raider group, this one commanding a Hyperion Heavy Cruiser captured during the Earth-Minbari War as well as several Zephyr 109 Starfighters. Once more in space, he joined the attacks against convoys and began to gain respect within the group. In early 2259, the group's leader, Benjamin Drake, saw that Hunter was becoming something of a threat to his position and challenged him to a duel in order to remove him. The duel was short-lived and rather one sided, Owyn doing in Drake with a quick blow to the torso and a knife in the throat. As was due to him, Owyn had become the leader of the Raider group and immediately went about putting together a new Raider organization which could surpass all others. Over the next year, Hunter was able to acquire more Starfighters as well as two Carriers to ferry them about. When the Earth Civil War broke out, Hunter was able to organize an attack against a patrol outpost crewed by troops loyal to President Clark and, in the confusion of the assault, captured a Heavy Cruiser attending the station and added it to his fleet. Soon afterwards, he was able to purchase an old Narn Troop Transport as well as the services of mercenaries to crew the vessel.      To date, Hunter's Raider group has been active in the Freeport System as well as Earth Alliance and Centauri space, attacking convoys and taking what they can.
