LAST UPDATE FIRST DOLPHIN ALREADY DEAD!
A Dolphin Friendly Island ?
Why this web page?
Because we need your help!!
A few people here on Curacao (Island in the Dutch Caribbean)  want to catch dolphins in the Caribbean Sea for their "Seaquarium"
The same dolphins that are swimming near our boats and play with  us freely in free nature. The owner of the Seaquarium Mr. Schrier has this plan and is working  fast to realize this in a short time.
This with the help from our local politicians Mr. S. Betrian and deputy Chong.
Catching dolphins is against international laws but even  more against our local laws and Mr. Chong is trying to change that. Also the Netherlands Antilles signed the CITES treaty which protects  nature against these kind of people.12 free dolphins will be placed in  a small basin (6 on Curacao and 6 in Mexico) and will die soon,  just as many fishes did, as well as corals, sea lions, seals and the  2 dolphins he caught earlier in his "death camp". This project has to be stopped! This as protest against killing the dolphins.  If you agree with this protest please send us an E-mail with your personal observations.  We will send this to our local government and to the Curacao Seaquarium  management to let them know the world is against this kind of amusement. Please help our dolphins!!
June 2002  6 dolphins came in big secret on sunday on our island with trainer and vet. After a week of rest for the dolphinsbig campains where started  to get people to the Curacao Seaquarium, Lot of money have to be paid to see, touch or swim with these dolphins. Our corrupted politicians have again won, big money is made and this time with  our seacreatures, the dolphins.  July 2002 FIRST DOLPHIN DEAD!Within three weeks the first dolphin died!! All the experts don't know how this happend! Maybe you can send them the answer.
If you come to our beautiful island Curacao,  please don't visit this dolphin death camp "Seaquarium".We thank you in advance for your concern, also in name of the left dolphins.
