the ghost tale Gravity Hill that occured in Oklahoma, America. We have a similar story here that if you go to a place nicknamed Hangman's Hill in Epping Forest (a huge forest on the outskirts of London) and park your car in neutral it will roll upwards.
I am not believer in ghost stories but strange things do happen in this forest and one happened to me which I can't rationally explain. It is a common thing to dare people to drive through the forest late at night to scare yourselves witless.
One time I did so in a car, whilst driving along my headlights failed so it was suddenly absolutely pitch black. I found that my fog lights worked if I held them on so I was able to drive out of the forest. When I got out in a lit street to inspect them they were working again.
As I said I don't generally believe in ghost stories and the such so I thought rationally that it was just a short circuit. However, a few months later someone (who was not in the car before) suggested we go throught the forest at night. I laughed and said 'no last time I did, my lights cut out' and they replied 'stop lying everyone says that'!! This freaked me out a bit as I hadn't really considered before that I had experienced something out of the ordinary.
It is frustrating though because no-one believes me, even though I hadn't heard the supposed urban legend when it happened.
