This is the story of the white lady. Wembury, at least I think that's right, something like that anyway. it's quite a nice area, but tucked away in one part, set back from the beach is a very, very old church. it actually has no roof or anything. Anyway in this church there is a perfectly white room, which is odd bearing in mind it has no roof, and noone ever gives it a fresh coat of paint. This room not only looks out of shape, it also feels out of shape, it seems very cold, but then that might just be due to the legend I heard afterwards.
Apparently the church was the sight of a wedding many years ago, but unfoirtunately the bride was jilted at the alter. She couldn't take the pain and ended it by jumping off the nearby cliffs to her death. I don't know her name, I don't think anyone does, but she's known as the white lady... because she was still wearing her wedding dress when she died. legend has it if you enter the room by yourslef, she will appear to you, but the church is definately weird, there's an actual pirate buried there as well, a head stone complete with skull and crossbones!
