Before and After
Leaving the AO and learning to love life
Karen Bacquet was a reasonably happy woman, searching for truth, but knowing that she was looking for truth gave meaning to her life. In those days, she looked like this:
But then she signed her declaration card. Soon she was on the teaching committee, the deepening committee, the ayyam-ha committe, the Local Spiritual Assembly, taught children's classes, got on the World Religion Day committee and the Race Unity Day committe, and had to take classes at Bosch and Green Acre. All the running around made her age rapidly. Soon she looked like this:
The frantic pace was just too much for her and she started to eat. She loved the ho ho's that Baha'is brought to every single Baha'i occasion. After years of living off ho ho's, twinkees and caffeine, Karen looked like this:
Finally, after years of wasting her time at devising new ruses to lure unspecting people in the Ark of the AO, she looked in the mirror and what she saw made her know it was time for change. By then, Karen looked like this:
So she got out. It took a long time, but finally she was able to get her act together again. These days, she looks like this:
So, we have to say that she is now one BBB.
And of course, we at Baha'i Angst expect all to understand the metaphorical nature of this pictorial essay.
