There's always been a cult market for quadraphonic LPs and from time to time I stumble across quad
releases. So here's my small, but growing listing.
I've included a link to an on-line listing of popular quad listings:
Mark Anderson's Quadraphonic Discography of Popular Recordings: This hasn't been updated in about a
year, but is a fascinating reference. Here's Anderson's description of his reference:
This list was created out of the need to help owners with Matrixed surround and Quadraphonic decoders
find material made for decoding. These recordings will also benefit owners of other matrix surround sound
decoders (Circle sound, Dolby ) by providing front and rear information that your decoder can do more with
than a stereo recording (although you will not hear exactly what the engineer intended, the experience is
still quite pleasing). This is not a complete list. Information about radio broadcasts (Old Rolling Stone
magazines from the era advertised Quadraphonic broadcasts) and any media using Quadraphonic sound
is greatly appreciated and encouraged. Country of origin has been listed to help in the search of a recording.
Catalog numbers apply only to the country of origin. However, it should not be assumed the recording was
only available in that country.
