The PSC officially represents Pakistan whenever required. It projects and protects the interests of Pakistan and the Pakistani community. It engages in all manner of cultural and social activities in order to do the following:
In general, the PSC through its activities does whatever possible to bring respect, honour and dignity to Pakistan and its people. It does whatever possible, staying well within the limits of the law, to safeguard Pakistani interests and to assure the well-being of the community.
An example of such activities was the seminar on the human rights abuses in the Indian Occupied State of Jammu and Kashmir conducted by the PSC in November 1996. It was the first time such a seminar had been held in Cyprus and it left a lasting impression. It also received coverage from the local television and newspapers. Numerous students of different nationalities were given the task of preparing a comprehensive report on this very issue by their professors.
