Jim's jeep is very very clean. Jim has had the jeep for 6 years and bought it from an older fellow who was a retired general. As you can imagine the jeep was very clean when he got it but he has improved it a great deal. The jeep was taken apart and repainted, the stock "jamboree" gold. New 31 X 10.50 BFG all terrain tires. A Weber carb makes this jeep run like it has a V-8; this jeep has power to die for. Jim is a darn good heating and airconditioning man and also fixes everything perfectly; so when he had the transmission rebuilt he wasn't happy with the way it felt so he took it out himself, bought a jeep manual and did it again hand selecting every syncro gear himself. This transmission shifts like a dream and is really tight. If you don't like the way your tranny feels then just talk to Jim. This summers project has been to detail the engine compartment. Many components were taken off and cleaned-up or painted and also the air pump was taken off to clean up the engine compartment As you can see from the pictures Jim's meticulous attention to detail makes this engine bay look great. Jim has plans for a 2 1/2 inch Ranco Lift for next springs project with slick rock hangers and shackles and a sway bar disconnect. Updated 12/31/98.
