Baldurstrand is a group of historical re-enactors in western states of
the U.S.: California, Nevada and Oregon. Baldurstrand is an unofficial region of Geforthan
Strandi, the North American local group for Regia Anglorum, one of the United Kingdom's greatest history groups. We re-create the period of the Viking invasions of England, and the Norman Conquest between the years 850-1150 AD.
As members of Regia Anglorum, we take special joy in working on the most historically accurate portrayals possible, and are marked by a higher commitment to authenticity and a sense of 'getting it right'.
In July of 2004, members of Geforthan Strandi and friends
participated in a reenactment of the Battle of Hastings (1066AD)
for The History Channel,
through Michael Hoff Productions.
The program will be shown in November 2004 as part of the History
Channel's series Command
