Summary / Objective

 

Twenty plus years experience with various computer programs ranging from Basic language to  experience in writing MS Access and MS Excel VBA programs.  I have been in a management position for the last ten years with my current enfaces on quality assurance management. My real world experience and knack for various computing projects and troubleshooting are my strong points. My objective is to offer my management and technical knowledge for a position within a technically advanced company. I find it important to be with a company that is at the pace of technology and am eager to help that company achieve excellence. 

 

 

Work Experience

 

Auto-Graphics, Pomona, California

Position: Technical Library Services Manager, 1/1/2000 to Present

Manager of the library services division to include project managers and technical support. The Position encompasses various facets of project tracking and development of technical services customer service tools. Auto-Graphics has expanded their technology to the internet and primarily focuses in on Libraries throughout the United States and Canada. Heavy use of Macros and VBA Editing, Data access pages, some SQL and HTML.

 

Lejon of California,Inc.

Position: Office Manager 6/3/1996 to 12/31/1999 (3.5 years)

Responsible for all aspects of Lejon, manufacturers of fine leather goods. Manage office staff and factory supervisors. Customer service oriented requirements are always a priority. Have heavy use of MS Access and Excel Daily, aside from implementation of new programs and troubleshooting network issues and program training. EDI also plays a key role in this position. In addition have implemented the companies WEBSITE: http://www.lejon.com other duties include: Human resources, Safety, Payroll, accounting and self-made tracking programs usually made in Microsoft Excel/Visual Basic. Day to day programs used is latest Versions of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Report Writer and more….

Position: Technical Support, 7/23/1995 to 6/1/1996 (1 year)

Responsible for technical support throughout the United States and Canada. Support was based on various Auto-Graphics computer based products: Impact Online (Automated Library Software), Impact CD SLiMS (Small Library Management Systems). In charge of developing the Clientele help-desk software to include development of form sets and importing of various databases. Experience with Excel, Word, Windows 95. MS Access. Lotus 123, Database III & hardware installations. Have received favorable letters from clients as well as a few Auto-Graphics process improvement awards.

United States Marine Corps, 29 Palms, California

Position: Computers - Financial Records 12/7/1987 to 12/6/1991 (4 years active)

Responsible for training and supervising new Marines. Main Mission was computer tracking of Marine Corps Personnel Financial Records. Specializing in self-made computer programs In Dbase III and Lotus 123. These programs had saved the Marine Corps countless hours and manpower. As a result of this I was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal. Other awards include: Good Conduct Medal, two Certificates of Commendation, four Letters of Appreciation, Southwest Asia Medal.

           Foreign Duties: Saudi Arabia, Okinawa Japan. 

           Promotions: All meritoriously achieved from rank E1 through rank of E4/Corporal.
