There's something entrancing about fallen angels...

I'm not quite sure whether it's the idea that everything light has a dark side, or the selfish fascination with seeing greatness thrust to it's knees and put down to our level, if not lower.  But either way, there is something entrancing about fallen angels.

Which is maybe why Dios intrigues me so much.  The funny things is, even before seeing Shoujo Kakumei Utena, I had sort of a bizarre obsession with pre-fall Lucifer.  Unfortunantly, there isn't much out there about him.  For that matter, there isn't much out there dedicated solely to Dios.

I figured it was time to change that.

He really does intrigue me.  Abosolute good is an interesting topic, eh?  Even if it is based off of a fictitous medium, in this case an anime...  Yes, there's something about Dios that fascinates me.  Maybe it's because he seems to carry such a great weight on his shoulders, every time we see him.  Understandably so; being the Light of the World couldn't have been easy.  Even if he isn't the Light of the World any longer, which leads me into...

"It's the sweet intoxication of the fall"

Those are some of the lyrics from that Sting song, "Desert Rose".  I thought that they were appropriate for use in my little introduction page.  They're true, I suppose.  Like I said before, there's something entrancing about fallen angels.  Or maybe something entrancing about the fall itself? Either way, that's what the original purpose of this page was-- to explore the transition from Dios to Akio.  The Light of the World to the Ends of it.  Obivously, I didn't stick
too much to my original purpose...  But that's okay, because out of the ashes of "Bara no Hitsugi" (my original title for the page) came "Carousel: A Shrine to Dios".

For the sake of saving space, I've divided the contents into three subsections which are linked from the
main page.  Each of those pages contains links to the actual pages with content.  "Links" contains, obviously, links to other Shoujo Kakumei Utena related websites.

Incidentally, if you aren't into web sites that are completely serious, Fear Not!  Most of this shrine carries upon it my... unique brand of humour.  So it won't get TOO boring, I hope.  ^.~ Okay, enough of my long winded introduction.  ONWARD!

Why Dios?
DISCLAIMER: I do not have any rights to "Shoujo Kakumei Utena" or it's characters.  I scanned very few of the pictures on this site, however I did tweak some of them.  I created the content with my own feeble mind.  I also don't know how to make a disclaimer...  <cringe> Don't sue meeeee....

The quintessential Dios picture.  I adore it.  ...Even though I did a crappy job cropping it.
