I am very impressed with pure gold chokes. You can pass this on to them. I have yet to have to shoot twice at any pigeon yet.
The modified choke is hitting the birds like a school bus and anchoring them. Shooting over Springer Spaniels require a gun that shoots a tight even spread filled pattern at 45 to 50 yards with no holes. This is where most of the retrieves are made. The guns that I used were older fixed choke Perazzi’s custom tested for an even tight pattern for me. My DT10 with your chokes shoots better patterns than any choke they bored for me. You are right, I was expecting to use the I/M and the mod is the correct choke for 45 to 50 yard pigeon shooting.
Your chokes are the only screw in choke I have seen with that long taper. The breaking action of the porting and your choke design does what you claim. A very even no holes pattern.
