Kilar, Franciszek (b. 11 MAR 1922, d. 2 FEB 1999)
Note: In 1943 Franek was arrested and taken prisoner in Lwow by the Germans. After the 2nd World War times were very difficult under Stalin rule. Franek was persecutated and imprisoned in Wroclaw, Poland in 1951. This occurred on Kleczkowski street.

Szymanowski, Stanislaus (b. 11 MAR 1908, d. ?)
Note: Stanislaus served in World War II. After the War the town of Obertyn was being evacuated and family members were urging his wife Maria to leave. However, she chose to stay behind with her two children Malvina and Jozek. After his discharge from the army Stanislaus came to Wroclaw, where many townspeople were relocated. He was told by family members that his wife did not want to leave and was still in Obertyn with their children. Eventually she did join him in Wroclaw and a short time later died of cancer. Stanislaus died of heart complications sometime in the 1970's

Krowk, Frank (Krzywkowski) (b. 3 NOV 1889, d. 22 NOV 1978)
Note: Franciscus Krzywkowski, aka Frank Krowk, boarded the SS Mount Temple at the port of Antwerp, Belgium, on November 20, 1907. On December 1, 1907 the ship went aground on West Ironbound Island at the mouth of the LaHave River near Bridgeport, Nova Scotia. He along with 731 other passengers and crew were rescued by breeches buoy and transferred to the SS Lady Laurie without accident. The SS Lady Laurie arrived at Halifax on December 3, 1907.
