When the battels of the powes of light and dark forces had subsided, the followers ofthe dark forces found refuge in the lands know as the Verdans. Here the follows of Falzure, Tiamat and assassins fought one another to create strongholds, small kingdoms of their own. Drenorian Orcs setteling to the south, following their own savage path and the Dark Forest, holding onto ancient spirits and any other unknown evil that had managed to escape the emprisonment of their portals.
Barastian raiders, assassins, the conquerors from the Verdans, tried to push their borders furthur across the seas conquering,, pillaging and taking what they wanted only to leave in their path, destruction and hopelessness. Their attacks and battles with Sierum Dalith lasted for 10- years, ending with the murder of Kal Ersam and his family, the only obstruction to their final victory. But then came another Quile Mastic and his strong magic, something the assassins did not forsee, pushing them back home once again. But there had to be another way to control this land, so rich in resources, their land bridge to Asgard. Finding a weak link in their nobleity, Decan Forsho, the noble from Quith Morta, was willing and eager to side with the assassins and create civil war once again in Sierum Dalith, giving the Baraster another opportunity to take over the control of the kingdom. But the High Chancellor, Saralin Ramron, once again rebuilt their forces and hadForsho and the other lords of Baraster put to death..
Lord Turalyon, ruler of the Federated Commonwealth of Asgard, abdicated his throne , giving rule to his mother . A few months later she fell victim to an unfortunate unknown accident , leaving young Daniel, Lord Turalyon's younger brother, to take over. Quickly he grew in strength and intelligence, learning the rules and stratigies of running a kingdom. But being a young monarch, consistantly judged by thoses who wanted their own controll, Daniel was forced to enact marshall law. This brought on a civil war. Turalyon, jelous of his brother's power concerning his country, and suspicious of his kind-hearted nature, built his armies and pushed his brother out and had him banished to Baraster. In Baraster, Daniel met up and joined the followers of Falazure. Learning all he could he quickly grew in their ranks, assaniating their leader and took over the throne. He then invaded and conquered the 6 surrounding kingdoms, thus creating the Empire. With new power behind him, Daniel return to the FCoA to fight against his brother, only to be defeated again. The Empire fell into a state of ruinas did Daniel himself. He went to locking himself away in the great libraries of Baraster, where he learned of the tomb of Sergeras, that this was no tomb of a daemon, but the Lord of Shadows. He then freed the Shadow Dragon Lord , restoring him to the abyss.
Daniel regained his power, finding the black arts a strong tool to rebuild his Empire. Throughout the realm he showed no mercy, and persuaded other to join him in his quest to build the Empire mightier than ever and to once again push it's borders across the Seas. But he needed something more. Someone to complete his plans. He searched the surrounding kingdoms till he met the Lady Rhendlyn. It was as if the gods and hand delivered her to him. With her talents and gifts, being a priestess to Tiamat, he now could forsee the ability to build the Empire stronger than it ever was. Her insite in building alliances and strengthen their economy, and her nack of knowing how to pursuade men's minds and hearts, a woman who's soul was a dark as his, this would be the final piece to making him the most powerful Emperor ever to conquer the world.
After his fall from grace, in the eyes of the Plague Lord Faluzure, Daniel was cast into the depths of the Abyss. There the Plauge Lord tortured the man Daniel for his many failures. Having had his fun with the destruction of the mans body, Faluzure cast him back to the world of Athair. There a shell of his former being, his powers robed of him, his youth and vitality gone, Daniel returned to Baraster, to find his throne gone, and Rhendlyn, the Priestess of Tiamat sitting upon it. Even his political power gone, Daniel went into exile, locking himself away in the great libraries, reading tome after tome. There he came across an interesting Text. Setting out, he played the citizens of the Commonwealth for the fool once more and tricked them into aiding him to open the Tomb of Sergeras. There he freed the daemon who in reality was the God of Shadow, Kesh'Telant. With his new god, the first task at hand was to dispose of the Traitorous god of plague. Faluzure having been severly reduced in power by the furious Kesh'Telant, Daniel now set out to reclaim his throne.
Baraster was in a midst of civil disorder. Those who followed Tiamat and Faluzure looked to Rhendlyn for guidance. She was no fool and knew Daniel would soon come and destroy her power. Instead, she was guided along the dark path. She then fled Baraster along with her followers and the spoils of her efforts, to set up a new breeding ground for their dark desires..
