When I am asked to conduct a Naming Ceremony I offer the parents a Life Reading for their child. With the help of my Guides I will be receiving messages that can help Mum and Dad in raising their little off-spring. Usually the messages contain help regarding talents, strengths, weaknesses, health and temperament. Quite often my Guides will mix messages with a sense of humour which is usually very well received by the parents!
I sit for Life Readings of course also without being part of a Naming Ceremony. Very often Grandma will initiate such Readings for their grand-child as a gift for Christmas or as a Birthday present. The age of the child does not matter, though when you start at an early age it will be quite interesting to compare the child's progress with the Reading.
Altogether it makes a nice gift for Mum and Dad and later on maybe it can be read out at their child's graduation or perhaps at his or her wedding!
All I require for the Reading is a picture of the child and a name, though usually I will be given a "spiritual name" by my Guides as well. Once I receive that name I will get information regarding a more or less known person with the same name. With that information I can then draw a parallel about their lives with that of the child's. It is really very interesting to see !
