tuesday 11 february
last night after work, i went to pick up my mom for a night of shopping.  it was so cute, when she got into the car, she excitedly exclaimed, "mother daughter night!"  too cute.  she wanted to show me something at stonestown so that is where we went.  unfortunately i didn't like it, but she still wants to talk to the sales lady that helped her so that she can try to convince me.  i don't think i'll waiver from my decision tho.  my mom also wants me to find an evening gown to wear after my  cheurng sahm change, something sparkly and red she says.  sounds good to me!  no luck at stonestown tho.  the selection at macy's and nordstrom was pretty darn crappy.  then she said the thing i was hoping she wouldnt' point out.  "why didn't you find a dress in hong kong?"  *sigh*  that is always the case with me.  i regret not shopping more when i was in hong kong.  so does parkin.  it was because of the darn pictures!!!  *shakes fist*  after spending hundreds of US dollars on adding to our package, i didn't feel like shopping anymore.  i felt depleted of money.  but now i realize, i should have spent the $13 to get a pair of pants made, i should have spent the $30 to get another dress made.  i should have spent $40 to get a jacket made.  life is just full of regret huh.  hehe.
since the shopping yesterday was a bust, i told her that i'd go shopping with her at valley fair next month.

after shopping, i wanted to take her to okazuya on noriega street.  i hadn't been there for a long time, and they have yummy fish there.  bummer tho, because it was closed!!!  i forgot that a lot of japanese restuarants close on mondays.  *darnit*  i was craving sea bass!  instead, i took her to marnee thai on irving street and it was good.  i went to thailand with my mom in 2001, so i thought that it was cool that we went for thai food together.  the food was really good, and my mom and i had a great time talking about marriage, children, houses, and such.  it was a good good night.

below you'll find a couple of pictures from the tahoe trip this weekend.  enjoy!
