this past weekend was parkin and my cookie party at my paren'ts house.  it's a chinese tradition where the groom brings a roasted pig to the bride's house along with lots of other foods and cookies.  gifts are given, and i guess it's sort of a purchase on the grooms side, to buy me from my parents.  and exchange if you will, of gifts and a pig for me.  haha.  family and close friends are invited to the bride's house to share in the festivites, and cookies are passed out along with the invitations.  it's an interesting tradition that will likely stop at us.  unless i remember and understand all of this gibberish.  anyhow, it's a good excuse to get family and friends together to celebrate a happy occasion.  this is also the reason we had to rush to get the invitations done by friday night.  for them to be ready on saturday to be passed out.  see wedding updates to see the short details of the night.

it was a beautiful day and i think everyone had a good time.  i know that i did.  the day went really quick and our house was full.  i felt bad for the late comers that had to park far, but like i said, it was a beautiful day in millbrae so the walk would have been nice.  hehe.

sorry for the lack of updates these last few days.  things have been CRAZY due to never ending wedding stuff.  i sill haven't updated on our weekend trip to la.  eh, go to
peg's page and see what we did.  hehe.  and i'll sprinkle pictures of ashlyn throughout the following entries this week.

parkin and his brother bringing in the roasted pig in, head first.  i don't remember why it HAD to be head first, but there's good reason. *oink*
jung and lee's with all the goods that the jungs brought.  see all those boxes at the bottom?  those are all the cookies that will be passed out at the end of the day.
