geez it's march already?  goodness time is just whizzing by.  today's date is pretty neat-o!  030303.  reminds me of oli and ivy's wedding anniversary of 020202.  :)

weekend was nice and somewhat relaxing.  saturday morning - opened a joint checking and savings account with my jung, got us a safety deposit box, went shopping with my mom, then attended an aaca dinner in chinatown where sf supervisor gaven newson was the keynote speaker.  he went to each table and introduced himself to everyone.   that man is a god.  he is just booty-lish-uss!  *snap snap*  (and he's got the softest hands!)  he did his thing, gave some awards, took some photos then went on his way.  my brother was bummed that he didnt' bring his wife, because she's suppose to be a hottie too.

sunday morning, er afternoon, jung and i met up with selina and my brother for lunch and some house hunting.  we drove around san bruno checking out a couple of open houses.  this is the first time that jung and i have gone to open houses and it was interesting.  my brother and sel are looking to upgrade, but after seeing some of these houses, i think they are just going to upgrade theirs right now.  a couple of the houses we saw didn't show too well, and the first one we saw was asking for an outrageous amount.  so not worth the $690,000 it was asking for!  the next couple which looked so much better was asking for low $600,000.  man, it's going to be years until parkin and i can even afford to put a down payment on a home.  and i think that parkin and i agree that we don't want an older house.  we're not much of a home improvement couple and would like everything done and ready for us when we move in.  call us lazy asses.  *shrugs*
after the open houses, my brother and i went to manilla market and he picked up some groceries for dinner while i got some fruits for dehydrating.  yup, you heard me right.  i'm going to dehydrate some fruits.  you ever watch those informercials?  we have something like the ron popeil (sp?)  food dehydrater and i wanted to dry some fruits, so i picked up some apples, pears, and kiwis for drying.  we also have some bananas and strawberries at home.  if i succeed with this, i'll attempt to make some homemade beef jerkey!  hehe.
my brother cooked up some terriyaki chicken while i tried on my wedding gown with selina's help.  i'm happy to report that it is indeed the correct dress and it fits fairly well.  just a little long and the top needs to be pulled in a bit.  but it's a tummy flattener, hehe, which i'm really stoked about.  i wore my dark rimmed glasses and everytime sel took a photo, she looked it over and said, "maybe not too nice with the glasses"  hehe.  she also lent me her hair barrett and veil to try with the dress.  after my little fitting, i tried to fold it back into the box, but there was no way in hell that it would have gone back in there, so my brother gave me a huge bag to put it in.  i'll have to go home to get a garmet bag and hang the dress.
after dinner, the four of us went into the livingroom and watched alias.  i can't believe what happened!  i knew it was coming, but i was hoping that it wouldn't.  and next week is the oscars or something so no alias!  wah.

when parkin and i got home, we did some research on obtaining our marriage license and talked over honeymoon plans.  i was pooped from the laid back day and went to sleep soon after.  now it's monday and i'm working a half day only because we have wedding stuff to do this afternoon.

on a sidenote to those real world vegas croonies out there, you have to watch the dvd special of the cut footage from the season!   the real world that you didn't see.  my brother borrowed it from a friend, and parkin and i watched it in the evening.  it is hilarious!  i like frank again.  he's so goofy and adorable!

guess who's back.... back again....
sonny's back... tell a friend.  woohoo!  fo shizzle mah nizzle

oh, and did i mention?  i'm going to be an auntie!  and i can finally announce it to the world!
CONGRATULATIONS TO MY GAUGAU AND SELINA!!!
you guys are going to be amazing parents and i plan to be favorite auntie.  *grinning ear to ear* not to mention i'll be only auntie until selina's brothers marry.  hehe.
