| i hate mondays i hate cloudy mondays i hate cold mondays i hate having to wake up for work mostly on mondays i had a very relaxing weekend, so waking up this morning was especially hard. and even tho i woke up at 12:00 on sunday afternoon, i still fell asleep before midnight last night. i was lucky enough to meet some wonderful people over the weekend. now let me tell you, from the start of this website just last year, i was NOT planning to do this meet and greet sort of thing with strangers. starting this website was just a way for me to vent and let some feelings out from time to time, and letting some close friends i don't see very often get a sense of what i was doing in terms of wedding planning and day to day rituals. i didnt' know who else was reading but i've been very lucky that the ones that do have been very kind and come and go with positive feedback. and i think that i've been very fortunate because the first person who linked me had such a good and positive crowd around her site that it was passed on to me. let me also say that i don't plan on doing this often or even at all with any other bloggers unless there are buffers and other people that can vouch for them. hehe. the people i met on saturday have been people i've been corresponding with via email or messenger for the past few months, so in a way, i knew most of them. sort of. or at least by reading their blogs, i could get an idea of what they were like in person. the other people i didn't know were friends of the people that i knew so at least i knew they weren't bad people. i was very nervous but since a couple of friends who i already knew were attending, i knew that parkin and i would be in good company. all in all, a wonderful night, great food at a restaurant that i thought had closed down, with great company. big thanks to evil for planning a fun event with other good folk. it was great meeting evil, nelson and gg for the first time, and actually talking to kevin this time round. sonny and winnie, always a pleasure. SO's, it was great meeting you all too. :) thank you all for making this a fun and comfortable meeting of sorts, everyone! i'm just really happy i checked myself in the mirror before meeting everyone. if i didn't, ya'll woulda seen a huge booger in my left nostril and strawberry seeds in my teeth. that woulda been a great first impression. :) parkin and i really want tivo now. after seeing how it worked and talking to tivo users, we want to be part of the cult. haha. i'm going to look into how to register for it through our registry, but if we don't get it that way, we'll definately use "the wedding fund" to purchase the system. last night parkin and i got home a little later than anticipated. 9:10pm. our television show law and order: criminal intent had JUST started so we were debating whether or not to wait until 10pm to watch or just forget the beginning. now IF WE HAD TIVO, we could have started it at the beginning, then fast forwarded thru the commercials as someone who owned tivo told us we could do. since we didn't want to waste the hour, what we ended up doing was starting the show late and after the commercial, rewinded the tape to watch the beginning. how ghetto. haha. another thing that happened last night that made me wish we had tivo was during the end of boomtown, parkin accidentally switched the channel during a crucial part of the show. if we had tivo and recorded the show, i could have replayed it and found out what the dying cop was saying! on that note, if anybody watched boomtown last night, what did the dying cop say?!?!?! i finally turned off the food dehydrator. i was making so many damn fruits this weekend, i decided to give it a rest. i made some yummy mangos and pear fruit rollups. but after the fruit rollup finally finished, i didn't refill the tray with any fresh fruits. i think i have enough, after sharing some with friends and family, to last me a couple of days. besides, i think it is time to move on to beef jerky. it's beef jerky time! today is also the 2 month mark before the wedding!!! (O.o) times just going by too quickly! still so much to do! *deep breath in* ahhhhhhhhhhh........ |
