| stop it april. stop flying by so quickly! i don't know if i have everything ready for may yet, so take a deep breath april, and slow down for me, will ya? enjoy the last half of your month, and let me enjoy it too. may will have it's turn very soon. you dont' want to leave so quickly do you? c'mon, it'll be another 12 months til your return. take your time for the last of these 3 weeks. thanks. we've been such a fortunate couple. since march, we've been receiving VERY generous gifts in the mail, from people attending the wedding, and even from friends and family that are not attending the wedding! (aiyah w, ley gum haak hay, ah!) we can't pull out everything to use yet because our place is still small, but i seriously can not wait until we buy a new house to use everything we've gotten. :) we actually haven't used any of our gifts yet. it doesn't feel right to use a wedding gift until after the wedding. hehe. but it's always exciting to come home and find a box there waiting for you to be opened. fun stuff. then i think back to the days when i started going to friends weddings and feel really bad because i wasn't as generous at that time. parkin reminds me that i was in college and didnt' have a whole lot of money to spend, but still. so generous, these friends of ours, and so lucky we are to have such great people in our lives. i have a cousin who's working in hong kong right now that probably won't be able to make it back for the wedding, which saddens me. damn sars. i have a friend who also lives and works out there that won't be coming either. that SUCKS! i grew up with this cousin of mine, and i wish that she came back before the whole attack of sars came about. she actually was suppose to finish up with everything earlier this year to come back then, but her job kept her there an extra couple of months longer, and so she's still there. i don't think she was ready to come home yet. and because of the numerous cut backs in flights, there is a strong possibility that even if she were to come back for the wedding, she wouldnt' be able to go back to hk... which to me is like, ya - i wouldnt' go back anyways! but she has a responsibility to her job. sucks for me, because i hoped that she would be back, but who am i to compete with that right? but my advice to her... come back NOW. not in 3 weeks, but NOW and dont' go back there! i'm just being greedy to want everyone special to me at the wedding celebrating with me. heh. oh yeah, i need to gloat a little. just a little because i'm so happy with my purchase. i got my flower girl dresses for $14.50 each!!! FOURTEEN DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS EACH!!! and they are ADORABLE little dresses. biscotti (that's not their official site, but a site that sells their dresses) is the brand and the dresses are sold at nordstrom for a lot... i mean, a whole lot, like $80-$100 lot. it's crazy. but the the biscotti manufacturing warehouse is right upstairs from where i work and i asked if i could look at their stock. ended up that the following week, they had an employee sale and i was able to find a bunch of dresses for dirt cheap. and they are so adorable! then i was also able to find some cute while shoes for the girls at nordstrom rack. so their outfits, including shoes cost less than $30 each!!! for shoes and a dress! *pops collar* i'm pretty proud of myself for the deal i got. woohoo! end gloat. i'm addicted to the game literati on yahoo games. i suck. but i'm addicted. i'm slow, and i am horrible at this game, but it's fun. gotta go and find someone to play with. hehe. have a great day everyone! ps - sorry, no fototototos from the shower yet. but i'll post as soon as i get some! franks for your patience. ;) |
