here are pictures from yesterday that i stole from peg's site, in case you haven't already seen them.
<< peg, ashlyn, & i soaking up the sun in front of the purty fountain in the middle of the chinatown plaza
aslyn and i doing baby aerobics at ABC cafe>>
wing was saying that ashlyn is starting to look more like a girl.  peg replied with, "what if i dressed her in blue.  do you still think she'd still look like a girl, no question bout it?"  hmmm...
what do you think?
two baldies chillin at my desk>>
<< after i took a picture with peg, she stood up and said, 'ok, parkin and wing take a picture with aslyn in front of the fountain.  i left to give them room. 'sarah, get back  in the picure. they look like two life partners with their baby!'
peg's so sweet,  she has an old digital that she's not using if i wanted to borrow.  i have been getting comments about not posting enough pictures, but people, i can't afford to buy a camera JUST for the site's sake!!!  well actually, i have been looking into it, but parkin's telling me to save my money.  yeah, i know and i agree.  i really can't afford to think about buying a luxery item like a digital camera, even tho there are really great deals now.  maybe after the wedding with our wedding loot.  hehee.  so until then, or if i borrow peg's, hold your horses.  go to peg's site in the meantime and ooh and ahh over her pics.  she has really great ones.

ever since parkin and i got engaged, i've wanted ashlyn as our flower girl.  yeah, i know ashlyn is only 7 months right now, and by next may, she'll only be a year and a half.  i don't even know if she'll be walking steadily by then, but i'm hoping.  *fingers crossed*  i think it'll also depend on how attached she is to mom and dad by then.  peg was telling me that she's not attached now, and she seems very independant, so i'm optimistic.  people think that i'm crazy.  dont' worry, i won't force the child if she's not ready.  in one of my wedding mags, etiquette on flower girls is to have them in the ages of 4-8.  8 years old!?  that's not cute!  shouldn't they be junior bridesmaids by then? or intermediates?  i think of flower girls as toddlers/preschool children, nowhere near elementary school age girls.  even in my wedding mags, there were little girls modelling flower girl dresses, and most of them were about 7-8 years old.  dana agreed with me that it just wasn't that cute.  when my flower girls walk down the aisle, i want our guests to say, "awwwww, how cute."  i'm sure no matter what age, a little girl in a pretty white dress is going to be a doll.
no worries tho.  if we feel that ashlyn is lookin too small in the next several months, i have nieces that are will be the perfect age, by etiquette standards.

parkin won tickets to watch the premeire of the new movie, 'about a boy' with hugh grant at amc kabuki.  we often enter these contests for movies, and maybe once a month, we're lucky and get a pair of tickets.  parkin and i used to watch movies every week when we were in college.  we'd go to amc mercado and watch the movie we payed for and then theater hop afterwards.  i think the most we'd watched in a day was 4 movies.  by movie number 3, our butts were numb, but we had nothing else to do that day, so we hopped into movie number 4.  those were the days.  haha.  these days we just got to the movie we pay for then go home. *borriiiiing*   with these free movie passes, you have to get there super early and sit and wait for a long time.  i got there at 5-ish yesterday for the 7:30 showing and was at the front of the line!  i'd never been that close before.  for the premiere of '40 days 40 nights' with josh hartnett, we got to 1000 van ness at 6:45 or so.  we had crap seats in the second row.  i just took off my glasses, leaned back and watched the movie.  not the most enjoyable experience.
we had awesome seats yesterday.  we ran into my cousin gary and his wife marvel there too!  they are the couple that just adopted their son from korea.  grandma was home taking care of justin at home  while they had a date night.  *sweet*  marvel's sister won 2 pairs of tickets and was at the front of the line!!!  but they were only 10 people in front of me.  hehe
anyways, the movie was pretty entertaining.  hugh grant has great facial expressions and he looks so helpless sometimes, it's hilarious.  i swear, the english are invading with very entertaining movies.  i love it!
