at parkin's 29th birfday dinner in april at than long, from left to right:
my mom, dad, parkin's mom, and dad
it's my mommy's birfday today!  my mommy's the best, did i ever mention that?  she's in texas with my dad right now, they went for a wedding.   i've been trying all day to call her, but for some reason, she's not answering her phone.

i'm a really lucky girl.  parkin's parents get along so well with my parents.  you hear horror stories sometimes, you know, how so many married couples hate their in-laws.  i love parkin's parents and vice versa.  it's sweet, our mom's call each other at work and chit chat once in awhile, whenever my dad has a delivery around yum's mechanical, he stops by and visits them at work, they come over for thanksgiving dinner.... the list goes on and on.  i'm so happy that they get along.  i couldn't ask for a better family to go into.  they are so good to me.  and i think that because our parents get along so well, could parkin and my relationship grow stronger.  there's no secrets we need to hide from them.  for example, i know a lot of girls that have to lie to their parents when they want to stay over at their boyfriend's houses.  for years now, parkin and i could stay over at each other's houses or apartment whenever we wanted to.  sometimes when it's late and my mom knows that i plan to go home, she'll call me and tell me to just stay at parkin's house because she rather me stay there than drive home so late.  we can travel together and not have to say, 'oh, we're going on a group trip and we'll be in seperate beds.'  we're most fortunate because our parents trust us, and we have no reason to have them think otherwise.
