what a long and tiring day.  i woke up this morning around 8:30 am and actually got up.  i decided to work out today and it felt really good.  parkin got the orbitrex ellipticycle and i decided to put it to use.  he's had the machine for over a month, i think, and it'd been just sitting there in front of the tv.  i've been trying to convince myself to get up and finally use it and i did it today.  yay!  parkin got up with me and i got on the machine and he popped in mulhoulland dr into the dvd player and we finished watching the movie as i elipted away.  i am determined to lose at least 15-20 lbs before the wedding next year.  that sounds like a lot, but parkin is trying to lose 30 lbs!  hehee. we'll see how it goes.
err, have anyone seen this movie, mulhoulland dr!??  i soooo confoooosed.
after the movie, we got ready for our church hunt.  all three of them were pretty close to each other.  one in portola valley (up the hill), one in menlo park (middle of the hill) and the other in palo alto (bottom of the hill).  we got a bit lost going to the portola valley one, and ended up finding the one in menlo park first.  very nice.  i loved how it looked on the outside and inside, except that it's not as bright as i would like it to be in the inside.
the portola valley church was beautiful.  when we finally got to the church, we were lucky that the doors were open and we could go inside.  it looked like it could hold about 350 people which was a good size, high ceilings that looked great, but the brightness.... eh.
on the way to the last church in palo alto, we passed stanford mall and decided to make a stop there to purchase a gift for a wedding we are attending in june.  we were super hungry by then too and i was craving the $0.99  filet-o-fish at mc donalds.  i haven't eaten there for a long time, so it was hella good, hella good.  as we left the mall to look for the 101 freeway, i saw a church along the streets and wanted to check it out.  turned out to be the 3rd church on the list!  most fortunate.  it looked really nice on the outside too. unfortunately we could not look inside, but from peeking in and from looking around the outside, i could see that there were high ceilings and it was nice and roomy there too.  brightness.... not as bright as i once again hoped for.  i think i'm being picky, but i really want to find a church that's bathed in natural bright light so that it doesnt' look too dark and gloomy in there.  but time is running out and i might have to just settle.

i had taken some photos of these churches, courtesy of parkin's digital camera, but i don't know how to rotate them, but here's one of me at stanford mall.
i called sel on the way home and she invited us to have dinner at their house, so we went by my house to get a few things then headed over there for dinner.  sel cooked a lasagna and corn on the cob.  it was yummy.  afterwards, we played a few rounds of sequence, chit chat and went back to parkin's house to sleep.  hella tired yo.
