parkin and i found out at peg's house the other day that darwin and angel are getting married on 050303. that was our date!!! damn. of all the weekends next year, they had to choose that one. it really bummed me out to hear that because we have similar friends. i thought it was a joke at first, but i guess darwin announced the date to ivy, oli, aaron, mayu and friends several days ago. that sucks for us! and aaron mentioned that they already booked the place plus angel already picked up all of her bridesmaids' dresses! i haven't even chosen all of my bridesmaids! wow, they're good. but i really liked the date of 050303!!! *pouting* it was going to be an easy date for us to remember. grrr, i'm bitter now. at least we haven't put a deposit down for that date yet... i guess...
so this morning i brought my car into the shop. it wasn't as cheap as i thought it would be so i guess i can file a claim and have my insurance cover most of it. yay! i might only have to pay as little as $100. compared to $600, i'm very happy with that outcome.
i couldnt' go into work today because of my lack of transportation there, so parkin picked me up at the body shop and took me here to work with him. we decided since i sort of had the day off, we would go to yang sing/rincon and put a deposit on the weekend following the 3rd. i called ivy to make sure that the 10th was ok and no other friends were getting married that day. she ok'ed it for me. so parkin, his parents and i had lunch and headed into the city to meet with the restaurant banquet coordinator. she was really sweet and we picked our date then and there. so it's ours. 051003. it's decided. parkin and i will be wed on 051003. i guess it's not the most difficult date to remember. the other choice was 062703 or something like that. no, i guess the 10th sounds fine.
