wow, it sure felt good to sleep in, except for parkin nudging me to get up every five minutes starting at 8:30 in the morning!!!  we went to bed fairly late last night considering it was suppose to be a relax in front of the tv and fall asleep kind of night.  instead my brother, sel (sister in law), parkin, myself and my parents had dinner and everyone but sel and i played mah jong til the wee hours of the night.  they started at 9:30 and finished around 1:30am.  sel and i stayed in front of the tv and chit chat about nothing and everything.  i have loved my relationship with selina ever since my brother started dating her over 5 years ago.  they bought a house almost 2 years ago and got married last year.  sel is really fun to hang out with, and even tho she is over 5 years older than me, we have deep discussions and are able to convide in each other easily, to me at least.  i haven't been able to 'girl talk' with her for a really long time and it was nice.  made the 3 hours fly by.

parkin and i went to ranch99 this afternoon before the wedding, and wow, parkin loves that place.  he got a butt load of noodles. hehe   we had lunch there and then shopped around.   went back to his place and got ready for eric & vivian's wedding.  i dont' know the couple very well, eric is mostly a friend of parkin's but i met him during my college years and he's a really nice guy.  him and vivian looked so beautiful together, so hong kongy and chinese super starry.  very cool.  we got there a bit late tho and completely missed the ceremony, but snuck a peek into the scene afterwards to get a glimpse of the place.  it was at the federal reserve bank in sf right next door to the park hyatt.  wow, it was sooo beautiful in there and they had a cocktail reception at the park  hyatt.  great oredouves (haha, i dont' know how to spell), plentiful drinks - punch, wine, champagne, then we headed back to the ceremony site, where they cleared all the chairs and set up tables for dinner.  we had a really nice time, and the atmosphere was so classy, the ambiance was just wonderful.  made me wonder about having our ceremony site at the rincon center.  i was joking around with cindy about it, but i'm seriously considering it now and will contact our rincon banquet coordinator about it later this week.  we just arent' having any luck with finding a ceremony site and i know that i haven't been good about looking for churches, but maybe there's just something about that.  hmm...  is it cuz i'm lazy?  yeah, i think so.  the wedding was very small too, maybe about 200 people, it was so nice!  they were able to be very generous with the party because of that.  i talked about having a smaller wedding with parkin, but we realized that even if we were to have a wedding with just our families and close friends, it would be a guest list well over 300 still because we both have so much family!  no matter what, we're going to have a huge wedding, and i'm still ok with it.  i'm very excited actually.

i called dana after we got home to see what she was doing.  she had called parkin during dinner and wanted to hang out cuz they didnt' need her at work, but when i called her, she didn't sound like she wanted to hang out anymore or she had to pick up brian at the restaurant or something....  i decided to pop in a dvd that i haven't watched for a long time, the sixth sense.  i love that movie.  it was very cool to see again and see the hints and clues.  i had to fast forward some of the parts cuz i was watching it alone and was getting freaked out.  (parkin was in his computer room playing mj on the computer)  he had so much fun playing mj at my parents house last night, his hands are itching to play some more.

all in all, it was a great day.
