| last night, parkin and i took a drive and came to the exciting city of reno! left the city around 10pm and got here around 1 something. we were soooo tired. i had gotten a letter in the mail for a free weekend stay and a pair of show tickets at silver legacy so we took advantage of the freebie. when we got up this morning, the sun was shining so brightly into our room that we thought it was already noon or something, but it was only 8:30 am! that's what working does to you. we are so attuned to waking up early in the morning that even if we wanted to wake up late, we couldn't and automatically woke up ready to go. we promised ourselves over a year ago that the next time we came to reno, we would get massages at the spa on the fourth floor, so i made the appointments, we decided what to do and headed out. afterward lunch parkin drove me to the bank cuz i needed some cash to gamble with. :) on the way to the bank, we passed the 'park wedding chapel' and i tried to convince parkin that we should just get married and not worry about the wedding planning for next year, and i think i almost got him. but then i said, "we should just get married and then go home and tell your parents, 'don't worry about the banquet anymore, we're already married' " parkin replied with, 'you crazy!' so we kept driving. on the drive back as we passed the little chapel again. i said, 'honey, our anniversary can be 061502, doesn't that sound cool?' he said no. :/ oh well. i tried. twice. i thought for sure he'd go for it the second time round. aren't guys usually the ones that don't want to go through the whole ceremony process thing? hehee. my guy is an original. :D we drove a little ways away to atlantis, i lost five bucks then we drove back to silver legacy and hit the tables. well parkin did at least and i walked around the floor feeling the vibe. i wasn't feeling it. i found parkin at the pai gow table and watched him for a little bit then it was time to get our massages. i felt bad cuz it looked like he was doing pretty well at the table and i asked him if he wanted to stay and play, but he wanted the massage. the spa at silver legacy was really cool. we'd never been there before and saw a nice weight room, a cool pool and all the amennities. we got dressed in our robes and went off with our massage therapists. *aaahhhhhh* i hadn't gotten a professional massage for 2 years or so, and my back and shins have been killing me. jack, my therapist helped relieve some of my pain. after the relaxing massage i went to sit in the sauna for a bit then showered and met parkin back at the room. i was so relaxed and felt like i was glowing. parkin even said that i was. :) |

| look how cute my honey is. he always takes such good pictures with food, but with me, he's got the crooked smile. hehe so after dinner we headed to the expo room at silver legacy to watch the david spade show. we had some kick ass seats, 4th row, and laughed our heads off. he made fun of himself, j.lo and puffy, had bits about his fears, women, gambling, and subtly capped on audience members... it was so much fun. i don't like him much in the tv show, 'just shoot me.' i definately like him more as a comedian than actor. |

| after the show, we headed back to the casino to gamble some more. i had started playing pai-gow with parkin earlier in the afternoon and was hoping to play some more, but wasnt' sure if i wanted to lose my $15 winnings, but ended up losing about $10 of it plunking the coins into various dollar slots. *dammit* parkin wanted to play some roulette so we sat down. being the old lady i am, i felt really tired around midnight and left parkin at the roulette table. i went back to the room, washed up and fell asleep to the end of saturday night live. *yawn* what a fun day.... zzzzz..... | ||||||||||||||||||
