happy july!
yippee yi yay!  i called united methodist this morning and they are all open for may 10, 2003!  it's supposidly a very popular church and books more than one wedding per weekend and sometimes 3 on a saturday, but luckily they are    all open for the 10th.  since they had no bookings yet, i got to pick the time too!  now i need to send a deposit of $200 to save the date and time and we are good to go!  coolio! it's a relief to finally have picked a church.  that was my biggest worry about this whole wedding process.  with all that parkin and i have decided on already, i don't feel too stressed about anything else... oh except maybe wedding dress shopping.  but that's suppose to be fun right?  :)

tonight, parkin decided to make dinner for a bunch of friends.  we went to cosco yesterday and bought a huge tray of boneless short ribs and he marinated them last night in this korean sauce that jana introduced him to several weeks ago.  norm, tony, so, park, parkin and i chowed down on beef, risotto, rice, chinese veggies and corn and still had leftovers!  afterwards, the boys went to the gym and i was planning to work out for a bit too, but got stuck in front of the tv and watched mtv til parkin came home.  i was playing catch up on road rules and their sorority show.  as i watched the sorority house, i couldnt' help but wonder if i should have pledged for a sorority in college.  naaaaah!  it's not like i had a whole lotta friends in college, and although most of my friends were guys, i have good memories of my college life with the friends i made there.  i was lucky to have worked in campus recreation, where i met more guy friends, haha, and i wasnt' in any particular circle, but it was cool.
but you know what i really want to do?  be in mtv's real world.  i would LOVE the opportunity to be a part of that.  i'd be the hella good nice chick on screen, but hella bitching about everything in the confessional room, haha.  hella fun.

as i watched road rules, i did some plucking and noticed how oily my face was.  *yuck*  i was looking at some of the pictures that peg had on
her site, and i was so shiney!  there were gleams on my cheek, nose and forehead.  geez, i really should wash my face throughout the day, but the problem with that is my face gets soooo dry after a wash.  my skin is so knit-picky.  dry one hour and oily the next.  i was never a girl that could just wash and go.  i always have to moisturize like crazy.  when i was in junior high, i used to slather vaseline petroleum jelly on my face before i went to sleep and still if i didnt' moisturize after i showered, my skin would still crack.  ewww, i remember one time, in the summer, a few years ago, a small group of us went to hurricane harbor in la.  hurricane harbor is similar to raging waters, where they have a bunch of water rides and stuff.  anywyas, as i said, i have really dry skin, so after a whole day of rides, hopping in and out of water and baking out in the sun waiting in lines, my skin still didnt' suck up any moisture, prolly cuz of the chlorine.  but anyhow, i looked down at my legs at the end of the day and it was so grossly chapped!  blocks and blocks of dryness from my feet to my thighs, like a lizard.  yuck.  i get the chilly willies just thinking of my dry skin.  damn, i think i'm sharing too many of my flaws.  ;)

so anyhow, i treated my face to a little mask and waited for it to dry while watching my shows.  it was real nice and tingly, then i peeled it off.  *ahhhhhh*  i love peel off masks.  i've heard that they arent' very good for your face because it's too abrasive that it'll peel off essential cells, but my skin is some tough sh!t.  i take pins and needles to it when i have problems.  after i peeled off the mask, i looked at it to see all the dead cells.  hella cool!  when i washed my face, it felt won-dah-fully smooof.  ;)

one restful day after another.  what a lucky girl i am
