since it was tabitha's birfday on sunday and she and i already had plans, i took her out tonight to 'b.padilla's island bbq' in san mateo.  may's friend, derek introduced me to the restaurant a year or so ago and it is yuuummy.  tab's never been there and i while we were thinking of where to go, i suddenly thought of their spinach salad, ribs, and speciality lilikoi tart.  mmmm, i was salivating all day just thinking about it!

so i picked tab up after work and gave her the cd's i made for her... yeah, i made them for me a few days ago, but as i was making them, i thought she might like em too, so parkin burned a copy of each one for me to give her.  :P  plus, she likes things like cd's rather than a store bought gift, i think.  it's more personal that way right?  hehe.  i hadn't seen tab since xmas time when we did a little gift exchange so we had so much to talk about tonight, so much that we didnt' know where to start, then it all started coming out and it was endless chatting from 6-9pm.  we talked about little things ranging from what cell phone companies suck (worldcomm) to wedding plans.  in between, we talked about people and the ones we dont' like too much, my layoff and rehire, her boyfriend and their plans for the future and a whole lotta other big and little things that have been going on in our life... it was a nice night and we played catch up like we always do.  we dont' talk for weeks or months at a time, them when we get together, it's like nothings changed, even tho so many things have.  bad thing was that when we got to island bbq and decided what to order, the waitress came up to us and told us that ALL the ribs had just been sold out, plus the spinach salad!  *darn!*  the table of 8 right before us ordered the last of it.  i guess the restaurant had a rush of people for lunch enexpectedly and sold out.  so we both tried the chicken, and it was tasty.  luckily they still had the lilikoi tart, so it was all good.

tab had to get home to watch her show, 'american idol' and i went home to kick it with my parents, kinda, not really.  i went straight to my room and turned on the tube to check out the show, but there were so many things i wanted to watch at the same time!  i switched off from 'american idol', to 'the mole', to reruns of the 'real world' that i've missed, then at 10 i watched one  more episode of the 'real world' then 'brandy's special delivery'.  brandy is documenting her life before she has her baby, and she looks good!  at the end of the episode, she had a contraction!  tres exciting!!!  i'll definately be tuning in next week, or at least catch a rerun of it. haha one more happy birfday to tab!  i hope you enjoyed dinner and i hope you like the cd's that jung and i burned for you!  i had a great time, thanks for the wonderful company! g'night everyone!  or good morning, whenever you read this.  ;)
