i had to head over to downtown san francisco this morning for a furniture show.  my co-workers have been busy little bees setting up for this show, and they did a really great job with presentation.  my boss asked me to stop by to check out our space.  i stayed for a couple of hours, had lunch with them, then head over to pick up selina, my sister in law.  we head over to valley fair for a bit of shopping.  my friend kevin was working for the first weekend of the anniversary sale at nordstrom.  kevin and i worked together in the boy's department in the end of 2000 and every once in a while he would go back to work, and i would go visit him.  he called me last week to go by and take advantage of his discount, i mentioned it to sel and she offered to come with me.

we had a really great time shopping and chatting.  i love shopping with sel because she's very supportive of my shopping hand.  she's very honest with me too, if someone i try on should not be on me, she'll tell me.  i ended up getitng a sweater and shirt.  sel on the other hand came out with a shirt or two, sweater, dress and a pair of shoes!  but we got really great deals since everything we chose was already on sale then we had an extra 20% discount.  kevin took a dinner break with us and we ate at the nordstrom bistro.  *fancy*  i haven't worked at valley fair since they remodeled and expanded.  it looks great, but being in there is a bit confusing and you definately need a map to get around..

after spending almost 4 hours at nordstrom, we head over to macy's for wedding and shower shopping.  i shouldn't have waited so long to purchase a gift, cuz there wasn't a very good selection today.  i ended up buying a hand towel and wash cloth.  now if i had gotten a hand and wash towel at target, i think i woulda only spend about $10-15.  the brand that my cousin chose was real nice tho, and i spend a bit over $30 for these two items.  it was either that, or a tablespoon for a shower gift.  i opted for the towels.

on the drive back to the city, i asked selina to be one of my bridesmaids.  i wanted to take her out to dinner and ask her then, but we were hungry and opted to eat dinner at the bistro rather than just snack.  and since kevin was there, i didnt' want to ask her at that time.

"who me?  but i'm so old!"
"oh... will you be my bridesmatron then?"
"ok!"

we hugged and sealed the deal.  i'm so happy that sel accepted.  she's been super supportive of parkin and my relationship from the beginning and i've actually wanted to ask her for awhile now, but haven't seen her.  today was a really nice day to spend with my sel.  i'm so lucky too, that i get along so well with my sister-in law.  you hear horror stories sometimes, you know?
we were so pooped after our day of shopping, and we had so much to carry back through the mall.  let me emphasize how large this mall is once again and we had so much to carry!  sel had a coffee maker, and 2 bags, i had a breadmaker and 3 bags.  we struggled to get back to the car.

the drive home went really fast, i hung out at the house for another hour or so then went home to sleep.  so tired...
i totally forgot about having a camera in my purse and didnt' take any pictures.  damn, extra weight too.  hehe
