Saturday, July 27 night

i think i fell asleep for half and hour or so after our shopping excursion while parkin checked email, made his favorite instant noodles, neoguru, shaved his head and showered.  when i got up, i changed into a top that i got at target for $9.99 (are you outta your mind?), a pair of jeans that were a size too tight, (they fit loosely 6 months ago, really they did!) took my hair out of it's usual up-do, put on a touch of makeup, and donned my brother's australia hat.  after parkin dressed in his $6 structure shirt and $20 structure pants, he put on my dad's australia hat.  he looked hella cute.  last night at the movie, tally invited parkin and i to her and darwin's birfday celebration at martin's house, and the theme was hats or wigs.  everyone suggested that parkin wear a cute little ribbon around his bald head, like how ashlyn does on special occassions, but he refused to.  so i remembered that during my brother's honeymoon to australia, he picked up a couple of hats for him and my dad.  we borrowed the two and were on our way. we didn't get to martin's house til almost 9, and everyone was just about finished with dinner.  parkin and i packed some plates with food and feasted.  there was sooo much food!  platters of chow mein, chicken drumsticks, sweet and sour pork, beef stew, string beans, sticky rice,(i felt like i was at a red egg and ginger party)  and oysters on ice, but we forgot to eat those. *darn*  after eating and chatting, tally and darwin blew out the candles on the cakes and opened gifts.  then the drinks started flowing.  *hiccup*

most everyone wore some simple hats and wigs, beanies, cowboy hats, sundress hats, china hats, china hat with a que attached, haha, but bartender aaron wore this HILARIOUS pimp daddy pro tennis player wig with headband and matching snoop dog shirt.  i just had to take a picture.  whenever i feel down, imma just pull this one out.

5... 6... maybe 7 shots later, i realized that parkin took a shot too!  parkin never drinks!  when we got our first cup of strawberry lemonade vodka, he took one, took a sip, made a face  and gave it to me.  as i went to join the ladies for some more, he followed suit some time after and i guess aaron handed him a drink and he drank!  he said that the drink tasted good and sweet.  he felt fine for the first minute or so them floooomp.  his face turned all red and his eyes were glazed over.  haha.  he disappeared for awhile after that.  i took a break from the alky and sat down to get a massage from steve.  *ahh*  after 2 shoulder massages, he still had enough strength to give me one too.  he said that my shoulders were really tense and he worked em.  if only parkin could massage like that.  :)   after that, i went to the bathroom, stopped to watch goldmember on vcd for a bit,  then went to the kitchen to drink some more!  hella fun, i haven't drank like that since.... a long time ago.  i had a great time, thanks to angel and pete for throwing a super fun party, and thanks to tally for inviting us to celebrate with you guys!!
