as soon as parkin woke up, he popped in another vcd, 'the irresistable piggies'. as soon as it ended, i got up and head home to help my parents.
my mom wanted to get everyone acquainted. she invited selina's family as well as parkin's family and my aunt and uncle came by too for a family barbeque. it was fun! we had sooo much food as you can see in the picture on the left, my parents prepared enough food for 30 people when in fact there were only about 15 people over tonight. hahaa, yes there were a ton of leftovers. my dad grilled a bulk amount of chicken, hawaiian short ribs, scallop kabobs, he roasted a duck, (yes, on the grill) shrimp, fried rice, and yams. we also had salads, veggies, and lots of fruits, desserts, and pastries. i think my parents also had some salmon filets, but there was already so much food. everything was super scrumptous and i'll be eating it for the rest of the week. haha.
it was another killer hot day today. while we watched the news, they featured a bit on people sunbathing and chilling at the beach... ocean beach! geez, how often do you see that! it was a great day to have a bbq tho. i think i've gained 5 lbs over this labor day weekend... but it was worth it.
