this morning i got up bright and early to meet up with 3 of my bridesmaids for a day of gown shopping.  we met up at ivy's house for a yummy breakfast of fresh waffles with strawberries and cream, potatoes, and crisp bacon.  *thanks ivy*  after we ate, we started our trek to san carlos where i tried on a couple of dresses.  nothing i liked there.  then we went to rin's, also in san carlos and the woman was really nice, at first, and then she turned on me and started to become somewhat rude.  the girls also tried on a couple of dresses but none that really stuck in my head.
there was a sign at rin's that i took notice of.  it said:
please take photos of the gown after it has been purchased.
or something like that.  i thought it was kinda funny.  i don't know why.

we head over to burlingame earlier than we were suppose to, so we walked around for a bit before we went into unique bride.  unique bride ended up being a pretty shi-shi store, but my helper kathy was SO helpful and had a great eye.  ivy suggested i try on things that i wouldn't normally choose and i did but kathy ended up bringing out some gowns similar to the original ones i'd tried on.  she found dresses that complimented my body and had a good idea of what looked good on me.  she wasn't pushy at all and i enjoyed my experience there.  there's no way i could buy my gown there, unfortunately, because the gown ranged from $1500-$7000.  *eek*

also, dana, selina, and ivy were super helpful and honest about what i wore.  *pat myself on the back* i chose some really great girls, and i know that if peg coulda made it out she woulda fit in with everyone else really well.  :)

after i tried on the gowns, the girls tried on some bridesmaids dresses.  unique bride had a really great selection, also very expensive, but really nice choices.  i ended up getting an idea of what kind of dress complimented which girls' body types.  all of them are so different so i want to make sure i get a dress for them that they'll all like and feel comfortable in.

i had one more appointment in south city, but was pooped after unique bride so we opted for a snack at tapioca express in foster city.  mmm.... i'd been to the tapioca express in irvine quite a few times thanks to peg so was really excited to hear that they had opened up a chain here.  we snacked on fried chicken, tofu, and fish balls along with our tea/yogurt drinks.  the other thing i love about these girls, they aren't afraid to chow down.

*thanks for a wondeful day girls!*

after selina and i dropped off dana and ivy, we rushed to get ready for the wedding rehearsal for my cousin hogan and fiance anchalee at st. mark's in san francisco.  i got us there half and hour late but parkin told me that they had just started anyhow.  *whew*  the rehearsal went well and then we had dinner at basil on folsome street.  the food was exeptional and service was impeccable.  we all had a great time.
