this morning i left my house in millbrae before 7:30 in the morning and didn't get to work until after 9. man, traffic was really bad this morning due to an accident as well as construction, starting from the third street exit near 3 com park to the lower deck of the bay bridge. i shoulda taken the san mateo bridge this morning. luckily there was a very entertaining bit on the sarah and no name morning show this morning. a pair of guys from australia use their genetalia, yes, use as in strip down with their pants down to the floor and whip out their dongs and create things like a hamburger and eiffel tower... with their nuts and bolts. it sounded really interesting and i want to go to the show. hehe. read more about it here. they're called puppetry of the penis. it's not about seeing their dongs, but i'm actually intriqued by how they use their peepee's to make such objects...
updates on past entries:
james the tree trimmer and crew - they are finally done with the neighbor's trees and my mom had the patio replaced. unfortunately our insurance company can't seem to get a hold of the company yet. i saw james only one other time after the arguement.
the peeing neighborhood kids - unfortunately i have yet to see the car drive around the neighborhood again since the incident. actually i did see a truck that looked similar to the one that night and it was parked at my neighbor across the street from our house, but i couldn't make a positive id. whenever i go home, i hope to see the kids or car so that i can confront them, but no such luck. yet.
interview with the county of san mateo - the interview went alright. i was very nervous but have a feeling that i won't get the job because i was unable to answer one of the questions. i also informed them that i was not able to work a week in november (my hong kong trip, woohoo) which i think wasn't a good thing since they were hiring for a full time position this month. if i don't hear back from them today or tomorrow, i'll know for sure that i didn't get the job, which is ok.
diet - i think i've gained about 4 of the 8 pounds i lost with the cabbage soup diet due to laziness and fast foods for lunch unfortunately, tho i am eating a lot more veggies than i use to and i'm still cutting back on the carbs. i really need to become more active. bad. i definately need to lose the weight again before i go to hong kong with parkin because we are taking engagement photos. my friend ben who lives out there is searching for a studio for us. forget the diet, imma try to motivate myself to exercise starting next week.
bed - oh my, what a wonderful gift from parkin's parents. i love our new bed but miss parkin's touch at night. when i wake up in the middle of the night tho, i hold his hand so we're at least touching.
camera - my flash path disk is still not working. i've been taking pictures with my camera but haven't been able to upload them. sucks yo. maybe i'll look for a new camera while out in hong kong. yeah baby. not that i dont' appreciate the camera peg gave me, but it's really heavy and big. if there's a nice and not too expensive camera out there, i think it's time to upgrade. :P
hong kong - our trip is confirmed for november 18-27th, but we are trying to stay a couple days longer to hang out with my friend ben.
new webpage - still waiting for my friend tyrone to contact me about my future site. i'm also waiting to see peg to learn my way around dreamweaver by watching her.
wedding update:
i ordered our favors online the other day but haven't heard back from the rep who's helping us. i also ordered a little something extra yummy that i'm excited about for the wedding and the rep from that company called me this morning to confirm my order and to inform me that they will not ship the items until april. i'm excited about those. :)
i think i've pretty much decided on the style of my wedding gown and i'm shopping for it online. the store price is about $1,200 *eek* but i found it online for $750. still a bit above my budget, but i'm still searching! there were actually a couple that i really liked that i tried on at unique bride in burlingame but i dont' remember the style and brands. *blush* but i know that those cost a lot more than this particular one i'm searching for. my friend juana also sent me a link for dresses so i'll check it out later today. *thanks juana!* if anyone knows of any other discount bridal links, please email me! my wallet thanks you.
i think that peg is a bit worried that ashlyn will not be able to walk down the aisle come the wedding day. i reassured her that we wouldnt' force her down the aisle if she became finicky that morning, but i wonder if peg wants to pull her out altogether...? i really don't want to traumatize ashlyn. i was also thinking about having peg walk down the aisle with her or carrying her down the aisle. i know that peg's been a bridesmaid many a times, maybe this would be a nice change to walk down the aisle with her daughter? it would definately be a cute photo op! i'll be sure to ask her about this the next time i talk to her... unless she reads this before i talk to her. hehe.
florist - will begin calling around next week for estimates
cake - will begin cake tasting in december/january

guest list - we have a tentative list but will have to decide who to upgrade from list B to list A, or take them out altogether. hehe. there are just too many people we want to invite! too many people, too little money. :/
