| haha! thanks for sharing your story rich! it's nice to know that i'm not the only one surrounded by idiots. now i realize that i write about a lot of petty little things that happen to me, and i bitch about them quite a lot. traffic, my neighbors, my friends, my brother, my car, stupid people, my work...i complain, i nag, i'm sure it gets quite annoying that i write about so many of these happenings in my life, but this is my outlet. really, i'm not a horrible person. :) thanks to you who follow along with me still, and to those who respond to my questions and give me good and bad feedback, an extra big thanks to you. ~ my boss is getting married this weekend. it sucks because ashlyn's sj birfday party part II is this saturday and parkin and i have to go to this darn wedding instead. i think it's the chinese in me that feels that i have to 'bay meen', in other words, give face because it's actually my boss. we were thinking about going to the wedding at 12, driving to sj and staying for the party til 4 then driving back to sf for the banquet by 5. that's a whole lotta driving tho since peg's parents live so deep into san jose and the rincon is in the downtown area of san francisco. plus that means we'll only get to be at the party for 2 hours. :( we'll probably have to miss out on the festivities of ashlyn's party. luckily we were able to celebrate this past sunday already. *thanks again!* ok, so another question i have, what do you buy a couple who already has everything? my boss is a pretty rich guy. he already bought a house and furnished it. they didn't register anywhere. what's an appropriate amount to give my boss as a monetary gift? he knows how much i make, so i can't be too cheap, but i don't make that much and i'm only an employee, we're not REALLY friends... suggestions please. ~ parkin and i are trying to decide on where to go for our honeymoon. we wanted to go to fiji but it's really expensive and a long long plane ride away. we also thought about bali, but learned of the bombings. we've already been to hawaii together, although we could try a different island, but i rather go a bit farther...tahiti? grand caymon? decisions, decisions... my mom is so cute. her friends are coming from hk and canada for our wedding next year. after the wedding the friends decided to go on an alaskan cruise and invited my parents to join them. my mom is looking into the air and cruise fares, then asked me and parkin if we wanted to go. i told her that we would, but we dont' want to go on a cruise for our honeymoon. she replied with, "you guys can come. we won't bother you. you guys don't have to hang around us older people." hehe, i thought it was so cute that she said that. but i passed. still working on dreamweaver, getting the hang of it! thanks for being patient! have a great day everyone! isn't today the anniversary of the loma prieta earthquake. do you remember what you were doing? i was in the 6th grade that year and was on the telephone with a friend when it happened. a stuffed kermit the frog flew off my stuffed animal shelf and a huge chinese vase fell over and broke in our living room with a loud crash. it was a scary scary day... |
